<p>Picara, I don’t know where else you applied, but there’s definitely partying and drug use at every college. I’ve visited Reed and spent a lot of time talking both to Reedies and students at other colleges and most of them agree that there’s no more drug use at Reed than at most other placesit’s just that Reedies are more open about it, so it’s more visible.</p>
<p>Don’t dismiss Reed just for that. I’m someone who doesn’t see the point of doing drugs or partying excessively at all; I’m not going to Reed for that. I’m going to Reed for its outstanding academics, for the self-selecting nature of its student body, and for its atmosphere.</p>
<p>You’ll find drugs and partying wherever you go, but Reed has myriad good qualities that you won’t find anywhere else.</p>
