General Comments: Good luck to all future applicants, I hope it goes well. We all need to take a step back and breathe sometimes. The app process is very rewarding when you are enthusiastic about what you do… I think a lot of people struggle w/putting their eggs in the right baskets. Thanks to everyone on CC for making this an interesting place to hang out. Go Duke!

****. I got deferred. 2350 SAT, 4.0 gpa. 7 APs taken, 5s in the three I’ve taken now. All A’s this year. In Marching band, jazz band, NHS, 200 hours of hospital volunteering, compose record and produce music independently.

Basically grades and scores don’t matter that much. Don’t bother getting your hopes up if you don’t have tons of leadership positions or cure cancer. Looks like it’s BU for me

[ /list][ b]Reflection[ /b][ list]
[ *] Strengths: My extracurricular activites and schedule. I also listed “Endurance Week” that me and student government planned which was a week dedicated to the 70+ handicapped students at my school. All and all my impact on things i was involved in looked great. My schedule is pretty ridiculous too, I had all A’s and a B in AP Chem when I applied.
[ *] Weaknesses: SAT Scores
[ *] Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: I showed how I belonged at Duke as a student, showed my impact in my community, had a tough schedule.
[ *] Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: N/A
[ /list][ b]General Comments:[ /b] Congrats to everyone that got accepted! As soon as I saw the video of the interview with the Dean I thought my chances were really good. If you’re planning on applying still take a look at that video! Seriously, he mentions the 6 factors that they score you on, and without looking at all of them individually and weighting them the same I don’t look very impressive. But once you consider it all, only my SAT is week while everything else is solid.

BTW, i don’t know all this code stuff so this isn’t going to read nice and pretty
