<p>I got deferred, most likely because of a lack of EC’s, I guess.</p>
<p>SAT 2310. GPA. UW. 3.95</p>
<p>But the worst part was the letter suggested I apply to other colleges. Does Notre Dame think I’m so stupid that they were the only college I applied to, and now that I’ve been deferred, I will just wait and hope they accept me?</p>
<p>Reading that sentence really felt like a stab in my heart.</p>
<p>MaryOMalley, I got deferred too ): It was the worst feeling to pick that small ND envelope out of my mailbox. I didn’t even bother reading the whole letter. It’s amazing how much one word can put a damper on your day)):</p>

<p>Got my acceptance letter in SE Michigan around 1 today.</p>

<p>Accepted in MT!!! My mom handed me the envelope while I was eating dinner and my sister secretly had the Notre DAme fight song cued up on the computer to play as soon as I started opening the envelope. It was great!!!</p>
<p>I must be delirious… “queued on the computer”. :P</p>
<p>My daughter was accepted! So happy!!!</p>
<p>Congrats to all those admitted. You have every right to be proud. If you were admitted, you earned the good news you have received.</p>
<p>My D was not so lucky yesterday and got deferred. That’s not really bad news but still a disappointment. She was accepted EA to Villanova and John Carroll but even with half-tuition scholarship at the latter, it could not take the sting out of the UND news. She will plug on and will hope to join all of you later in the spring.</p>
<p>For those of you still waiting/hoping: Don’t give up. This process can make you doubt yourself, even when you are an amazing kid. You know who you are and what you are capable of. Do not let anyone, even the mighty Notre Dame, define your worth. </p>

<p>Accepted! I found it interesting how the letter refers to us as the “First Year Class of 2011.” Also, good luck to your daughter rckpgh and to all the other deferees, I’m sure you guys are stellar students and people.</p>
