[]Essays: I was pretty happy with my common app and “why Mudd is awesome” essays. My friends told me my main HMC supplement essay was worthwhile reading of its own accord, so I’ll share it with the world: http://files.imonger.org/hmc%20supplement%20-%20essay%20star%20trek.doc</a>
[li]Teacher Recs: Should have been good; from my physics teacher and junior English teacher. My physics teacher is also a good friend and knows me very well both as a person and a student.[/li][]Counselor Rec: Written by my physics teacher as well, so probably solid.
[]Supplementary Material: Rec from my summer research mentor… no real idea.
[]Hook: I think my physics teacher used something about my age (a year younger than everyone else in my grade) and maturity or my crazy-diverse family tree.

[]Extracurriculars: Main one was Science Olympiad, where I’ve been elected a captain for 2 years. Also National Ocean Science Bowl and being elected senior class secretary. I think that’s all I put down on the common app…
[]Awards: NMSF, a number of French competition awards, and a large number of science olympiad medals. Also 2nd place NOSB team at regionals. And the stupid AP Scholar with Distinction - yay, I paid The College Board a ridiculous amount of money to take their ridiculous exams, and they give me a ridiculous certificate!!!111!!
[*]Advice? Commiserations? Feel like bragging?:[/ul] Very, very happy! After the entire week of waiting nervously (which immediately followed rejection from Caltech) this was such a relief.
