Official emory transfer 2020 thread

Can transfer students get a scholarship? like merit base or something.

Was everyone able to submit their midterm report? It was such a hassle to contact each of my professors online for it lol.

I didn’t think Emory required a midterm report.

Emory did not require a midterm report, but a lot of other schools did. I know that some schools just said you could fill it out if you knew your grades, so I used what grades were written on my coalition report and translated them to my common app report. Hope that doesn’t screw things up at a few places.

But yeah, should not be a problem for Emory, I don’t think. Emory had surprisingly few application materials by comparison to most other top mid-sized research universities.

when’s the earliest y’all think decisions could be released?

@2021wdl probably Wednesday

Decisions will be released Friday, May 1 at 3:00 pm Eastern Time! So nice to have a college that actually communicates :’)

Honestly, I love that they keep us updated. I’m so nervous!

Accepted! YAY! My first acceptance!!

Rejected

rejected

I got rejected, unfortunately. I’m kind of surprised, as I was waitlisted two years ago - I guess I got my expectations up since they liked me somewhat the first time. College admissions are so strange. Congratulations to everyone that got in!

I got rejected as well. Emory handing L’s out here

Rejected

Just got accepted as a junior transfer!

Rejected as well.

Rejected. I didn’t mention any of my extenuating circumstances so it was probably a big part in why I was rejected

Accepted! 4.0 gpa from a CC. This is my fifth acceptance.

ACCEPTED as a junior transfer!!! FIRST ACCEPTANCE! I’m coming from UCLA with a 3.8 and I’m also from ATL. So far I’ve been rejected from Amherst, Williams, Northwestern, Wesleyan, and waitlisted at UNC. College of Arts and sciences planning on majoring in European history.
