Official feb act scores thread

My son’s composite is 27. E-27 M-27 R-23 S-29
He was scoring good on the Red book practice tests and his SAT was 2300+. I guess ACT is not for every one. He will try the April test once more to see whether he can improve a couple of points. He’s happy though that he has his SAT score to fall back on. Great job kids and keep working till you get the magic number that you want.

I DECREASED FROM 29 to 28!!!

i am sooooooooo mad right now omg…

i guess i am going to take APRIL test now and probably going to go for the SAT!!!

i got 190 on PSAT so I am sure i can get at least 2100. omg…i thought this will be the end of taking the ACTssss!!!

C:29
E:30 (I went down 2 points–i thought I did so much better)
M:26 (Went up 2-i hate math)
R:30 (I STAYED THE SAME! Argh.)
S:27 (Went up 2 as well)

Overall, i went up 1 point. I’m kinda disappointed–i really wanted a 30.

First time and sick so not bad for my scores:
English 32
Math 26 ( should have done better)
Reading 29
Science 26
Composite 28

My scores aren’t up yet!!
Does taking the writing section slow down the process?

Composite 31
English 34 (up from a 30- yay!)
Math 30 (up from a 27- double yay!)
Reading 29 (down 4 points…not so yay)
Science 29 (up from a 28)

I’m happy I at least didn’t drop in my composite but that reading kills me! More than a one point increase would have been nice…maybe next time.

@ryuename: It shouldn’t. I took the writing section and my scores are up.

ryuename,
I don’t think so. My son took ACT with writing and still got the results early. Good luck with your results!

i didn’t get my scores yet? when can i expect them and what was the curve like for you guys?

It was my first time, and I am not disappointed, but not devastated.

English 32
Math 31
Reading 30
Science 27
Composite 30

How hard would it be to increase by two points by the April date?

Math: 34
Scince: 26
Reading: 23
English: 24
COmposite 27

im so upset…

you guys are lucky to even have scores right now =/

ungrateful britches :O

congrats everyone!

Got a 32…it was my first time. I took the SAT before and got a 2120 but I got deferred from Yale SCEA.

yeah, you guys are lucky. I don’t even know when I will get my scores. Hopefully, Friday.

My D’s status still reads as “registered.” Is this normal?

So does my son’s. Yes, today was just the first possible score release date. My son sent an IM to his friend who took it at the same test center and he did not get his scores today either. Sometimes the answer sheets were received a little later, or there was a mistake in bubbling personal info (ie: letter off in student’s name), or an inquiry into some testing situation. My son had this happen the last time that he took it as well (same test center). He got his scores a few days later. The next batch should post on Friday, hopefully.

Ok, thanks northeastmom. Judging from your name, your son and my daughter did not take it at the same test center, as we are out on the west coast, so maybe this happens a lot.

^^^^^it really does, unfortunately.

It seems like a lot of people got a lower score on Reading than what they expected, myself included. I got a 33 my first time in Dec. on reading, but got a 31 this time and I thought I did just as well if not better than Dec…

^ I feel the same way. I went from a 33 (October) to a 29 (Feb) and felt really good about that section. Every other section saw a increase but reading say a drastic decrease. Maybe the curve was harsher than we all predicted?

My ACT Score is as following :

English : 28 (+2) (I studied hard to get English points up :D, Started Speaking English 6 yrs ago)

Math : 35 (+4) (About this time, I was getting really excited! My predictions were right! Did better on English and Math!)

Science : 33 (+1) (Didn’t expect this :stuck_out_tongue: I was pretty happy with 32. Now, I was like "OMG! I have over 30 Composite?)

Reading : 23 (-3) (Biggest Let-down ever, Wow… I hate reading… So confusing!)

Composite : 30 (+1) (I should be happier than I am right now. Reading just got me feeling blues)

So, Bye-bye to Carnegie Mellon, Cornell, Reed (Maybe :P), and U of Rochester (More Maybe :P)

Oh! Congratulations for all!

P.S.

Should I retake it? Because I am very content with all scores except reading. Don’t want to risk those high scores :P
