Official Harvard 2011 Transfer Thread

please confirm harvard decision date- May 15?

No one could give you a real answer. Even the admissions office is wrong sometimes.

But as that’s what they said, why don’t we say yes?

The 15th is a Sunday. Would they actually send e-mails out on a Sunday?

@kazzar: We’re all venturing a guess here buddy. Why don’t you just take a seat and chillax eh?! :-)

I think people are going to hear back right about now

UM…TODAY IS DECISION DAY!!

I know cause I just got my rejection hahaha

Haha, ditto!

rejected as well.

Best of luck to whoever was accepted! :)

I’m sorry!! Via e-mail or usps?

LMAOOO I got rejected! I don’t know why but I just started laughing. LOL Time to call up my brother who graduated Harvard '10 and tell him what a waste of an application fee. LOL

Good luck to all my fellow CC’ers. I hope at least one of you guys gets in! I’m rooting for ya!

Hahaha I totally laughed when I got the email, too.

Haha, me tooo!

I was like “Oh! Harvard!.. oh… lol”

“nearly fifteen hundred candidates applied for twelve places available in the sophomore and junior classes.” I laughed out so hard lol

Fair enough…I’ll go check. Holy ****, OMG, I’m freaking out!!! GUYS I’M IN!!!

Just kidding ;). Talk about unceremonious, though…I was checking my facebook during this hectic finals period, got a little “boop!” meaning new email…REJECTED! They didn’t even bother writing a different rejection letter from the freshmen pool, it seems. Didn’t they say they wouldn’t release until sometime in June in any case? I can’t really be too torn up alright about it though…given the fact that there were 1500 applicants for 12 spots, that’s a nice pocketable $112,500 for Harvard. Judging from what family friends who are very active there have told me, only people with major (read: MAJOR!) ins at the school are accepted via transfer anyway, so nobody should feel bad. Best of luck at finding happiness wherever you all end up!

Yup, rejected.

accepted!!!

whoa! Really trans2011?! Many congratulations!!!

trans2011, mind posting the letter? I want to read it, if only to sigh unhappily and sink into a funk.

rejected. 0.8%. if you go lower a bit, you might as well be in a plane crash.

Rejected as expected.

hahahaha .8%. rejected too. im laughing at that email. it was really nice though! but geez whats the point of even doing a transfer admissions process
