The admissions process at schools like Harvey Mudd is beyond absurd, and it gets to a point where there’s nothing to differentiate successful and unsuccessful candidates. And the stuff regarding URM’s is simply obnoxious.
The work ethic that you’ve developed will serve you all incredibly well in the next four years and beyond. My own personal story is that I was rejected from all the Ivy’s and ended up at a second (or third tier) school. Five years later I was at Harvard Medical School. The only name that’s important on your resume is the last place you went to school or where you worked. Your educations and work life won’t end after your undergraduate educations. Make Harvey Mudd regret the fact that they didn’t take you.
