***Official January 2015 SAT (US ONLY) THREAD***

@TheUltimateNerd‌ you’re right. CC people read graph as delineating data before 2 cars were added. The question specifically stated there were 7 cars before 2 5.1’s, and the graph clearly illustrated nine X’s.

The question said NINE

@herpinburpin‌ What was the 5th answer choice? because I’m pretty sure I picked that one :-S

CC: were there 9 cars before or after 2 cars were added. There’s some debate. It’s obvious what the popular answer is, but it’s easy for people to misread. Who remembers the question clearly? Like, verbatim

@BulletPoet @TheUltimateNerd It really isn’t that serious and starting to get irritating. It’s one question, go eat a cookie or do something more productive than fret over one question. Your life won’t end if you miss one question on the math section, besides you are the only two who seem to think that is the correct answer because everyone except you two misread the question. Do you know how many people would be happy to miss only one question? I guess you’ll find out on February 12th whether you were right or wrong. Chill…for real.

@APScholar18‌
Were there five 4.1s or four 4.1s on the graph?

Either way, if the graph was AFTER, regardless of 7 or 9, median and mode would be still right.

@herpinburpin‌ I agree 100%

@tjfabio98‌ hmm, I’m not sure. I clearly remember “has not yet proved their” as the last answer choice, though, which I’m pretty sure is incorrect since rockets is plural.

How could mode be correct? @Theultimatenerd the 4.1 was 4 X’s. If the graph was BEFORE then you add 2 the mode changes.

@herpinburpin‌ I may be thinking of a different question because the answer choice I picked started with “yet” or “had yet to prove” idk though, I can’t be trusted, the only section I’m decent at is the CR

@tola2015‌ I am paranoid, partly because this is the only question that I might have missed on the math; not to mention last time I missed only one math and got a 770, and I was adamant this time about changing that. Missing 1 or 0 makes a big difference for me, maybe not for the majority.

All this chat is speculation; we’ll know who got tricked when scores come out.

In any case, this time math wasn’t that easy, right? Maybe medium??
At the very least I don’t think we’ll get a horrible -1 750 curve like the November 2014 test had.
I HOPE.

@TheUltimateNerd‌ Four 4.1 and three 5.1, then two additional 5.1 not shown on the graph were added to make 11 total cars. Only median stayed the same I’m almost positive

I’d be stoked if that were the only math question I missed.

@BulletPoet, Nope! I believe it was “prestige…[?]”

@isl4ndsurf3r‌, it was 3rd

@alexphan202020‌, I believe it was asking what the author was doing when he donned a southern accent.

@APScholar‌ Considering you seem to know your stuff, do you remember what the SC was about the Korean woman, I just don’t remember anything about that or picking restraint.

@herpinburpin‌, It should be c, except c should read: c.) had not yet proven their

@tjfabio98‌ I think it was an experimental, because I didn’t get it either.
