Official June 2nd SATI Thread

what! i took the same SAT as you guys, but int’l. I have no idea what you guys are talking about (i didn’t have any squid or trapazoid corners question).

From what i remember i had the following.

  1. Essay
  2. Writing
  3. Reading
  4. Math
    5.Reading
    6.Math
    7.Reading
  5. Math
  6. Reading
  7. Writing (maybe i put 1 too many, but that was the general order)

I had some hard vocab, like remonstrance, dissolute (disolute?), dilapidated ,chicanery, and gerrymandering. I really don’t remember anything about innocuous. For the reading sections i had one about a weatherman, one about genetics/lullabies, one about an African American businessman, another about Disneyland, and finally one about female artists/social society.

For the math here’s what i remember.
One of the questions was to find the equation of a line with points (j,k) and (2j,2k), I put C for that one: y=(k/j)*x.

Another question i remember is the one about the two triangles inside a rectangle and finding percentage of the smaller one. The answer was 1/8 if i remember correctly.

Also another was about two spheres inside a cyclinder; i put 4pi*r^3.
Number 20 for fill-ins there were 2 answers (it was the one with curve and intersection). b was -10 and c was 21. So it was x^2-10x+21=0 and the answer was 7 and 3 i think.

There was also a quite difficult one about number of integers for a certain solution. It was 1.4<x<59.4. So its all integers between 2 and 59 which is 58 numbers–at first i though it was 57, but its 58  (at least i think so).

For fill in remember 2/3 (slope of something??), 10/7 (i put 1.48 or some rounded value) as answers.

yea can someone post the triangle question if they remember?

Did anyone put 0 for the problem showing to equations with x and y values?

atomimc bomb i have no idea what u r talkin about but my friend came out sayin somethin about a disneyland passage, im assumin that was the expereimttal but it loooks like it was a completely different test?

What did you get for the one with:

The ______ of the campaign… ______ comments… wry sense of humor.
?

Also, the second to last one on the final writing section. It seemed like every choice would end up modifying board instead of the place name. I chose the “because of…” one.

i agree with jason412. i don’t remember the triangle question. was it a gridin?

Horses? Squids? We probably have different tests in different parts of the world. My essay was about hardship and prosperity. I had one passage about Disneyland.

jason the answer was -2/3 not 0

^^ is it possible that i had a completely different test or am I suffering from an extreme memory blackout?? --hopefully not the latter :D

@bb4 i had the same essay. Essays are known to change for different places in the world. The whole test;however, does not usually change.

i said something droll for the campaign one, is that right?

what was the answer to the question with the stuff had remainder of two how many of these between like 10 and 30 or something or 10 and 40 are like that…?

that’s what I put because i knew allure and the first blank with “irony” were definitely wrong.

i think i put the droll one too

For the squid question, I put resigned acknowledgement (B). What did you guys get?

anyone else remember math stuff?

It seems I had a completely different test to you guys. Is this true? I live in Asia.

^probably…

Atomicbomb, I remember all the math things you posted. I guess we had the same test, unless both of us are suffering from a memory blackout!

horse was experiemtnal but everyone should have gotten the squid passage…

i thought the math was very easy… however the cr was bit tricky. what did u guys put for the braces/headache fixing paragraph? it asked about which sentence did not belong?
