Official June 2nd SATI Thread

i wasn’t talking to you…sorry didn’t refresh in time

-1 question or raw score is a 790 potentially… I don’t get what you’re asking either.

I’m sorta confused, some people in this thread have said this test was easier than past tests and others have said it is harder, can someone clarify which one it is?

well, it is different for everyone.

it all depends on the date though. In march -1 was 780. So in response to “how do you get a 790”, you get it by getting -1 on a test date when the curve is set to -1=790…

I thought the general consensus was that math was easy, CR medium, writing same? Or not…

^ yep, sounds about right. Doesn’t really matter. Curve never fluctuates THAT much. However for march you could get 1-2 wrong and still get an 800 right? (correct me otherwise). Could someone pull out a list of CR raw=>score conversions? that’d be great…

edit: according to the may thread, -2 in CR was also an 800
-1 was actually an 800 in math! THat’s weird, must have been semi-difficult.

Not tooo generous, if you ask me. CR ESPECIALLY.

Ouch, they better curve CR so that -2 = 800, otherwise…

yeah, its rough. hopefully i get a 10 essay.

January was much better. I hope that -3 points [not questions] = 800  That’s too optimistic. It’s probably -2 points = 800.

What does it mean to have an “experimental” test?

everyone has it

I don’t understand. Is it just some random section that they’re experimenting with?

If you got to collegeboard.com, they talk about the equating section = experimental section. It doesn’t count, and nearly everyone gets a section like that. You can’t tell which section it is… usually… although for math, it’s sometimes quite obvious. Anyway! Just go check out the equating section on the website.

Question: what is this 9.75 answer for the grid in? What was the question it is the answer to?

what do you think -7 on the cr would be?

9.75 was the answer to the 6 phone lines? (i think). the first 3 are 2.5 each and the second 3 .75 each.

All I remember was that it was maybe the 3rd(?) grid-in or something? My memory is foggy.

-7 points = 60 = 730-740 +/- 10
