was anybody who had the self-discipline essay topic able to come up with any real examples? just curious because I had to make up both of mine… ahah
Well I defined happiness as the fulfillment of a desire or goal and spent the rest of my essay explaining how self-discipline helps people to achieve goals. I spun the prompt a little bit by discussing self-discipline in the context of hard work rather than forbearance. My examples were Andrew Carnegie and Hester Prynne.
for the self discipline one does this make sense:
both galileo and franklin disciplined themselves into thinking about society rather than themselves. they tried to look in the positive of helping people instead of themselves
Again, If you llive in Hawaii and are 5 hours behind eastern time, does that mean you’ll get the scores wednesday at midnight?
I wrote about the Crucible and 1984 for my self discipline essay
@Saburosfather – short answer, yes.
I had the “Do works of art have an impact on society?” essay and I wrote about Henrik Ibsen’s A Dolls House for giving rise to the feminist movement and Rachel Carson’s Silent Spring for giving rise to the environmentalist movement. I think that it was written decently, but hopefully my final sentence didn’t tarnish my essay. I was rushing!
I’m usually scoring in the mid 1900-2000 range on CollegeBoard practice tests but this SAT is making me feel like I got a 1200.
A Doll’s House frustrated me so much. Nora was just…no

What time (est) are the scores posted? Is it 8am or earlier?
@Kat2016 Official time is 8 am, but apparently it usually comes at 5 am (according to one person on this chat who told me this at some point).
@Dorfdude8888 yeah I heard other people say 5am also so I was confused
The wait is killing me!!! I keep neurotically checking the website hoping they will post them early, which we all know isn’t going to happen.
@skeltor57 omg same here. We connected mentally bro
Is there a reason that all the scores for SATs and subject tests are released 19 days after the test date, every time?

is this okay though?
