Official Math Level 2 Thread

<p>im thinking this mite have a steep curve…looks like most ppl agree on the answers</p>

<p>was the polar coordinate one still 240?</p>

<p>Yah the answer is 239. Yah this curve might be harsh guys~ Get ready for it.</p>

<p>I’m gonna go to chemistry class now. Brb within 4 hours.</p>

<p>wow 200+ posts…im so glad i took math alone…focus was totally on</p>

<p>The Dec SAT one reached 800 i think</p>

<p>curious to kno what ppl prepped w/…personally…all(even the review section) of PR, three Barrons practice Tests, did one of neighbors old melany tests, and the two collegeboard tests</p>

<p>i didn’t prep at all. I regret not prepping, I thought I remembered all my math analysis stuff. :(</p>

<p>i used Barron’s (only half of the review section and all tests), dummies (only tests), kaplan (whole book).</p>

<p>Princeton Review (some material and 3 Tests, with 1 of the tests from a PR free diagonostic test, SparkNotes (3 tests), CollegeBoard (2 tests)</p>

<p>Um, back to the one between 7/8 and and 4/3 – I got something/7… 3 or 4… I’m not sure if the question asked >=1 or just >1. </p>

<p>The numbers are between… 21/24 and… WOW. Never mind. I got 28/24, haha. Because clearly 7/8 = 1.</p>

<p>K, I have like 6 wrong and 4 omits. I’m contemplating canceling eeeek!</p>

<p>Compilation in no order (well, in order of the thread):</p>

<p>– Three planes’ intersection: **a line or a point<a href=“w/%20some%20debate.”>/b</a> I think this may have been choice D but I could be wrong.
– Number 33, or the one with the prime number and the remainder of 17: **D, 21<a href=“number%20was%2029.”>/b</a>
– The last question, or some weird trig stuff I didn’t look at: 2X^2 times the square root of (X^4-1).
– The question where y = f(x) and y = absolute value of (f(x)) don’t share any points in common: f(x)<0, I hope, but someone else put symmetrical around the origin.
– Frequency of the function 4sin(2x+1) = F(x): 1/pi (I think this was C?)
– The combination problem: 5C3 + 5C4 (since it’s a group of three OR a group of four) = 15. Maybe choice B? Haha, I typed 5!/3!2! when I did this problem… no parens around the denominator… mm, so smart.
– F(X) = K log 5 (X)… 5 was the base, and K is a constant… what’s F(5) - F(25)?: -K.
– The distance between two cities with the angles of depression: My friend said 5? and I haven’t seen any definitive answers in here. Bwahaha I had 8 as the abcissa instead of the ordinate… again, so smart. If you do it wrong like me, you get 2.4 (and you know you’re wrong because city A was a bigger number than city B.)
– The bee colony surpassing 100,000: 16.61 (choice E.)
– The maximum point of (2-somethingsinsomething) * (3+somethingcossomething): 11.81… yay graphing calculators!
– If X > 0, what does X^X approach as X approaches 0: 1.
– The one where f(x) = f(-x) (or something like that… “same set of solutions”… I wasn’t sure if it was just asking for an even function or a function with the same range??): some debate between B, x^5-3x^3+x, and whatever E was.
– The white car with two doors: **3/20<a href=“choice%20%5Bb%5DA%5B/b%5D?”>/b</a>
– The set of seven numbers and the mode and median: C, insert two 5’s.
– The guy and his wife (damn woman drives fast): A, abs(10t - 60). Grr, I put E.
– The one with numbers between 7/8 and 4/3: 8/11.
– The polar coordinate one that was (-5, -3): 239.
– Cylinder one: 37.5.</p>

<p>thanks for the compilation poseur.</p>

<p>the cylinder one was 37.5 if i remember it correctly.</p>

<p>Mm, but is the cos5x ever 1 when the sin of x is -1? I just put it in my calculator and found the max. Thankfully, I don’t remember the precalc behind finding amplitudes. xP</p>

<p>Whoa, how did he delete the post?! </p>

<p>Arghhh. So if I cancel, there is NO RECORD of my having taken the test, right? -.- I can’t believe I’m gonna do this.</p>

<p>You can delete posts? Procrastination’s post is also gone.</p>

<p>Wow, I just figured it out. Edit -> Delete -> Delete this message.</p>

<p>Holy crap, never knew this existed!!!</p>

<p>lol yeah sorry guys.</p>

<p>I got my calculator, did it over and came to the same conclusion, and then deleted the post. To my surprise it already had responses.</p>

<p>HAHA. Crazy! </p>

<p>I wonder if past posts whose ‘edit’ opportunities have died can be hacked… hmmm…</p>

<p>I think the answer to the parametric question was that it was part of a parabola.</p>

<p>yeah it was part of a parabola.</p>
