***OFFICIAL MAY 2015 SAT THREAD (US ONLY)***

For math experimental section, was section with “graphs about 2011 and 2012” the experimental section? (the earliest math section) Please give your opinion~~~

@hiDreamer were those the one with something about audiobooks?

What was the answer to the question asking what perspective is the actors passage told from? I put impartial narrator but I was thinking it could’ve been from the actors point of view too.

@WK6897 i think the answer was actors from the point of view of the narrators (that was the consensus and thats also what I put)

@ZaGongShow I remember a choice with “actors”, was there also a choice with “actors from the narrators perspective”?

@WK6897 i remember many choices with actors in it, but I chose the one with actors from the narrators perspective or something along those lines. I remember the answer choice was E

@ZaGongShow do you remember if “strong opposition”, “suspicious”, and something transition were answers?

Yes! it was something about audiobooks, paperbooks.

@WK6897 Strong Opposition Question: yes this was an answer that i also chose, however, its one of the most controversial topics in this thread, however, im pretty sure its strong opposition (and so do a lot of my friends who also chose that)

Suspicious: I remember quite a few questions that had that answer choice actually, and i cant remember if i chose it or not, i think i chose it for one of them? but my memory isnt very clear for this question

Transition: I think you are referring to the african american political speaker and the answer choice was initiate a transition - yes I chose that

Guys can someone tell me what the answer to the histogram problem was… I think I put C…

It is x-18. (Trust me I’m asian. :D)

Anyway, considering the x-axis, which is y=0, you make three lines of slope 1 from 16 (x-16 choice, x=16 when y=0), 18 (x-18 choice) and 20(x-20 choice). The 18 one came in the middle. 20 was shifted towards the right, 16 towards the left.

Keep in the mind about the gradient being 1.

@ZaGongShow for one of the improving paragraphs did you put something like they could not hesitate ignoring the critics or something? Someone said the answer had the word fuss in it but I don’t remember that as a choice. Was it the hesitate thing or something else? This was the passage about the artists.

@marcoreus i dont understand your explanation

@Kombeler @MarcoReus Well according to the explanation that I provided in my first post x-18 would imply that if you were 16 you had -2 years of experience in driving which is impossible. Also, when I did the question I had a lot of time left so I took every point and tried to plug its coordinates in the equations and y=x-16 turned out to be the one that got the coordinates of the points accurately. Don’t forget that there were points that were completely out of line with the graph (bottom right and top left) which would have certainly changed the outcome and made it that you can’t just expect the line to be in the “middle” of all the points.

its 100% x-18

so @Jado17 u got x-16 right? cuz thats what i got

U know the SAT is a hard test when u can’t find the equation of a line. Lmao

What were the choices for that narration question?

Why are you guys still talking about the test? Its not like it’s going to change anything, except perhaps make you even more stressed and anxious to see your scores. Isn’t it more beneficial to divert your attention towards more important thing, like AP/IBs and regular schoolwork?

Okay so I’ve been really anxious about this since I’ve taken the test and only now I have thought about searching for a thread about it. There was one section on my test, section 4 I believe, that was a really hard (in my opinion) critical reading section. I’m really hoping it was experimental because I didn’t understand it not one bit; I couldn’t even tell you what it was about. All I know is that there were about 8 fill-in vocab questions in the beginning, two short passages (not paired), and one long passage. If anyone can just throw out some of the passage topics out there, maybe I can remember what it was about.
