Please don’t put too much faith on articles in the Daily Northwestern. I work there and know that there are many mistakes or incomplete information published in the paper. It won’t be long either today or next week. We all need to be patient at this point.

If we have to wait another week I will actually die.
The article says that Mills himself said we’d get them in the third week of March. That’s different than flat out saying we’ll get them this week… As innacurate as the newspaper may be, I can’t believe they’d mess up a simple quote like that.
Out of all the years, the year I apply has to be the weird one…
I just called and was told that as of yesterday, they hadn’t finalized decisions, and they haven’t yet set a date for decision release. They plan to release them anytime from now and before the end of March. I don’t know what to believe, but I guess they’re probably not coming out today.
I probably won’t let my son go to Northwestern even he is admitted. It seems they don’t understand CC is an very important website and need to clear air here if they cannot release the decision this week. Such actions could only drag them away from elite colleges.
The big boss at admission wanted to release the third week of March but his staff may not be able to complete work.

Someone yesterday said they had info from “friend’s father who works at NU admissions”, and that they’ll be releasing decisions tomorrow (i.e. today).

I called the financial aid office on Wednesday because I still haven’t submitted my taxes through IDOC yet, and I asked if it would be ok if I sent them in this coming Monday or Tuesday. They said that would be perfectly fine, so if they have to send out financial aid notifications the same time they send out decisions, they wouldn’t be coming out this week. If they’re independent then fingers crossed for today
@klanfa True, I forgot about that. And that person said that before we already knew we weren’t getting them yesterday.
I guess I’ll hope for them today although at this point I’m expecting the worse. I don’t know why they can’t be a little more communicative with us. Surely they must know that if they have been releasing the third Thursday of March every year, we are going to expect that to be the same this year and now we’re in a frenzy because that didn’t happen.

Totally ticked off! I called the office and they said between now and April right? And then I asked if it was true that they were coming out tonight and they hung up on me! And you want me to be a full pay student when you treat me like that??? No, I’m not giving you my money even if I do get in. That is NOT how you treat someone who PAID to apply to your school. There’s a reason why the Ivies remain on the top. Because they value our time and money. ABSOLUTELY pathetic. Bye Northwestern!
