The subject of the email 3 years ago was “Northwestern Application - Status Update”. In the body of the email it said:
"Dear _____: </p>
<p>Admission decisions from Northwestern University’s Office of Undergraduate Admission are now available. This link will take you to a web page where a copy of your decision letter may be viewed. </p>
<p>Sincerely,
Office of Undergraduate Admission
Northwestern University"</p>
<p>There was a hyperlink on the “this” that brought up a letter that started with the following:</p>
<p>"December 2011</p>
<p>Dear_____,
Congratulations and welcome to the Class of 2016 at Northwestern University!"</p>
<p>@NUEcon2016 that wasn’t even the actual letter…but my heart was beating super hard while i was reading it!</p>

We’re all on the same boat. Haven’t slept properly since thursday… Definitely not sleeping tonight.</p>

<p>so nervous. was ready for the possibility of waking up and finding out but I guess it should be later today. my second choice is american and their priority app for honors programs is due today and I haven’t even started.</p>

<p>All my other schools are equally second choice. They’re all top 50 universities, but they’re all tied for second because NU’s so awesome they don’t matter. </p>
<p>Guys, help me decide. The email should arrive at my inbox when I head to school in the morning, and given that I have 2 tests in the morning with a recess in the middle, should I open the email during recess and screw the 2nd test, or open it in lunchtime and daydream/scare myself throughout both of the tests…</p>
