I’m on a hunger strike, but that’s because I’m out of meal points…

Reminds me of an article I read a long time about “hunger strikes” at Columbia … turned out that a large portion of the strikers were just anorexic or something like that, and that the strike was a cover for a more serious problem. I don’t remember. I laughed at the time, though.

And I’m not actually on a hunger strike, dude.

Does anyone think they take into account if you’ve applied before? I applied as a freshman, but was rejected (obviously). I’m wondering if they consider that at all when they look at transfer apps.

@moxiemaya
well… i hope they take that into account… cuz i’ve applied as freshman, and got waitlisted… and then… i applied as a sophomore,. but my essay was tooooo bad that time… didnt even prepared that well… so i got rejected… and now… i’m applying as a junior… they better accept me this time… i put so much effort in that… rawrr… the tHRID TIME!!!

@lauren229

you go to rutgers? haha i’ve been there on a few occasions. crazy nightlife. i applied there and got in. i got into tcnj, too when i applied my senior year of high school but decided to go to rowan university because they have a college of communications with a film school. bad decision. majoring in film is a joke here. It’s referred to as RTF (Radio/TV/Film) but it’s nickname is Rather Than Fail. clever. I hate it here baha

Has anyone gotten financial aid packages? I know NYU is horrible with them, and presumably even worse for transfers…it’d be nice to know what people are getting so I can decide whether or not to get excited!

Hm, all of my transfer credits appear now and my financial aid link actually has something (but when I click on the year it still says my financial aid for 2012 is unavailable). I know it might be too early to get excited, but I’m getting excited (today has been a great day just because I got accepted to USC…still so stoked from that).

I’m definitely worried about my aid for NYU though. Even if I get in, I feel like I’m ****ed because I submitted my FAFSA so late.

@okletsdoit –> why didn’t you just go to Temple? Rowan is… Rowan. And all you have is Landmark. I have a lot of friends who go there, haha

ughhhhhhhh no email! I was expecting to wake up today with an admissions decision at hand. **** *kkkkkkkkkkkkkk. I cant take this anymore. *!!! The admissions staff must either be the laziest people on earth or the most evil, because their ****ing with us. And of course theirs nothing we can do but wait. For the past week I have got nothing done because I sit by my computer all day checking my mail in hopes of finding a decision. This blows…

I’m pretty sure the emails don’t come until 10:30 here, so that’s an hour away from now.

i heard emails were supposed to start being sent out at 8:30? my app was complete last thursday, so im scared ill have to wait until next week.

although id be glad to wait rather than receive a rejection email!
i want to send in additional information… but idk how… is just faxing a paragraph weird?

dude enve520,
no hard feelings or anything but its because of kids like
you that the majority of us have to wait. Like how wasn’t
your app complete until last thursday? Thats ridiculous bro.
My app was complete in January! Now the admissions staff
have to re-asess alot of applications. ****kk

@danny8

actually its the admissions staff. they filed my hs transcript under my middle name, not my first. so i had sent everything out in early march in one complete envelope, but they misfiled it.

so shush, we’re all waiting here

@enve

kk w.e.

Im just sick of waiting, soo many kids have done the same and their just sending stuff in now. Its gonna slow the admissions process exponentially.I think they should all be rejected. It’s unfair that kids like me suffer, when I got my stuff in months early to avoid that. Ok maybe NYU did screw up your filing but what I don’t understand is why didn’t you call to make sure everything was there when you first sent it in? If you had done your job this could have been avoided.

P.s. dont tell me to shush you mother****er

Actually, NYU has been sending out decisions since last week, so incomplete applications have nothing to do with this. Also, my app was shown as complete on Albert, but I got an email a week or so ago saying they were missing transcripts. I called and they told me it was a mistake, and everything was complete. I sent my app in in early March, and I’m still waiting to hear, just like most people here. It’s not anyone’s fault but NYU’s for not getting decisions out early.
But keep in mind that most schools won’t be releasing decisions until this Friday… NYU’s are earlier than a lot of places.

i did call, they said everything was there. then my albert status was never updated so i called again.

you dont know what happened, i dont know why they misfiled it
it sucks for me when i applied early as well, okay?

chill out “bro”, you’re ruining the vibe of this thread

and i agree with moxiemaya, i doubt my app will have anything to do with this waiting game

“Don’t tell me to shush you mother*******”?

That’s something I never thought I’d hear on CC.

I feel like I’m at the gallows and the executioners are talking about the weather. If you’re going to reject me, just do it already.

haha love the negativity about our chances of getting rejected… for some reason it makes me feel better!

Anyway, that guy who said he had all his transfer credit show up (coolio or something) sure sounds like he’s in to me

oh great now my login wont work in the NYU start page… seems like it’s a good sign i’m out
