Official NYU 2011 Transfer Thread

rejected to Gallatin.
Not very upset; I came, I saw, and that’s enough. Good luck to everyone!

another response-less day?

a lot of rejections…wow

I’m kinda happy im not the only one lol

@rememberthenight

mozel-tov! Did you apply to film/tv?

Rejected to Stern.

Oh well, study abroad in London it is for next year. Then reapplying for junior year to NYU, BU and Northeastern.

@Rememberthenight Did your transfer credits show up before they accepted you? I applied to Tisch too but still have not heard anything…Congrats anyway! :)

@giantmidget – London is one of the best cities I have been to and have hung out in. It’ll be an absolutely fantastic year (I plan to move there for a bit after my undergrad degree because I loved it so much)

I applied to Dramatic writing and my transfer credits did show up. I’m still so shocked and excited!

yeah I will do study abroad with NYU next summer that was the main reason why i applied that and to be in the city

So I got an email today, acceptance rejected! Haha I’m happy I got a damn answer!

@Lauren229 - Yeah I’m pretty excited for that, but it’s an NYU study abroad, and I’ll be surrounded by students who got in and not me =(.

Plus, it’s only for one semester, and then I have to come back to University of Miami for one semester, a prospect that I am absolutely dreading. I hate this place so much!

Dang, I still haven’t gotten a response! They’re killing me!
When did you guys submit your apps?

@tangyj
Im so sorry to hear that:(
mine is still hanging in the air ugh
guess steinhardt just being a slow ass, nobody hear back forn steinhardt yet?
i think u have a very good record, but probably they r looking for more such as ec:(
or that school is just not right for u
ur really good but stern have many other excellent applicants, its hard for them to mak such choices
u should apply there for graduate school tho
NYU is so expensice anyway:(

I’m suddenly considering CUNY a bit more. I wonder if May 11th is too late to submit an app. It’s rolling so who knows.

@aquamarine831
Thank you so much, really… i just felt we are all good and enthusiastic students here on cc… i hope you’ll hear ur offer soon… yea… i’m fine… at least i got in Deloitte intern… and the probably will offer me a job position after i graduate… so… not a bad thing… and we’ll see tmr’s penn decision… tho i’m not expecting much… lol… good luck!!

I am not very upset just as chippyay mentioned. It’s cool Fordham is my backup, just waiting for Columbia. Good luck to those who haunt heard. Keep your expectations low cause doing so helps cope with a rejection. If you get accepted all the power to you. You’ll still see me in the city though.

Also, just fyi, there’s also an “invisible” waiting list that colleges use in in transfer admissions so if you haven’t heard back, it also could mean that NYU is withholding your transfer decision until they get the responses back from other transfer applicants admitted earlier. This is why you have to reply back to them post-acceptance within 3 weeks after initial acceptance. So for some people who got in, say, May 1st, if they choose not to go, their open spot will then be offered to another person in late May.

Damn it now I’m even more worried. I don’t think my 3.35 GPA is going to cut it even for SCPS.

Congrats!
-did everyone who got in have their transfer credits show up?

 • how do we know if our letters of recommendation were recieved… never saw anyone on here mention that they were notified about missing letters of rec., just missing transcripts etc.

Has anyone heard from Steinhardt MCC yet?!
