do you think it depends on the date your app was completed? because mine was completed feb 1st. So maybe their doing it in reverse order. i.e. people who applied first hear last. I don’t know haha, im running out of possible reasons why it should take this long. I am finding out tomorrow come hell or highwater…

hahah no I don’t think so … .I applied near the deadline… they may be going by major and by last name… mine starts with S

my last name begins with an S too. i also applied near the deadline because i had to have a professor at my current university look over my short story and screenplay for my writing portfolio. i’m hoping this sluggishness turns out to be a good sign.

Update us when you call! I’m kinda hesitant calling, but it has seriously gotten ridiculous.

Thank you

@benellis, no I applied to CAS

GPA: 102 weighted (it was on a 100 scale)

Damn… I’m relieved and more anxious at the same time.

anyone hear from the Hotel Management school?

yay officially going to nyu tisch for film & tv next year!
anyone else? pm me! frieendddsss! :D

motogo – i was accepted to the Hotel and Tourism Management School you can see my stats on NYU Transfer 2011

Here is a question for those who received a decision, in fact I can’t believe nobody has asked it already. What does the email look like??? That is, is the subject line a dead giveaway, who is the sender etc… It has gotten to the point where I dread looking at my email, yet I do it obsessively. So, I would like a heads up as far as what to expect when I finally do see a message from NYU. And obviously I know if you are accepted the first word is Congratulations, and if not probably Thank You =)

It’ll be from admissions.ops at nyu.edu (they have filters here for e-mail, right…?), and the subject line will read: “Your NYU Admissions Decision.” Vague e-mail header, but you’ll know within the first sentence whether you got in.

has anybody been waitlisted yet? i’m starting to wonder if those of us who haven’t heard yet were put into some sort of “maybe” pile so admissions could get a gauge on how many people to accept/decline. i don’t remember how waitlisting works; if you hear back earlier or later and whatnot. in high school, i was waitlisted from syracuse and i found out pretty early, so maybe it doesn’t have anything to do with that. baha i don’t know anymore. it’s 4 AM.

Has anyone received any scholarships from the school? My financial aid hasn’t arrived yet, I want to know whether or not I should get my hopes up…

Clive Davis just gave $5 million to Tisch for the Clive Davis Institute for Recorded Music. I wish alumni would give large amounts to NYU for financial aid for students like they did at Columbia.

I just got into Tisch for film production!

This is just so surreal right now. I was rejected from Chapman, LMU, and UCLA, but NYU was always at the top of my list.

Congrats, lord jim!

cant believe it, but I still have not received a decision!!! I’m gonna cry, I know I am gonna get rejected. there are only 60 transfer spots for tisch film and i’m sure they have been filled. one way or another i would like to know what I am doing with my life. once again thank you soooooooo much NYU, you have been sooooooo diligent and “professional” throughout this whole process!!!

I haven’t heard anything either, but I applied to CAS… so… :(

-hugs danny8- I know how you feel.

at least you have HEARD of other people getting into your school. I have not heard of one decision about Steinhardt MCC at ALL. :'(

;A;

I’m sorry gooberfish1
