Official NYU 2011 Transfer Thread

My only saving grace is my recommendation letter.

If they don’t give out decisions by Wednesday, I may end up having a heart attack from stress… hah

Did anyone else send in an midterm grade report and get a confirmation that it’s been received?

When I got the request, I replied that I have already sent one in and it should be in the file (which it was, when I called up admissions and told them to check), but I haven’t recieved a confirmation that they have it, or that they don’t. Makes me wonder should I call again or not. I’ll probably do so after Tuesday, if I don’t hear anything till then.

I still haven’t even received confirmation about my transcript giantmidget. It’s pretty damn annoying. Why does Sunday have to exist? I want to call and ask them if they have my transcript right meow =(

I sent in a Mid-Term report (even though I wasn’t asked for it or have yet to be asked for it), and I haven’t received any kind of confirmation that they received it. Same with my rec. letter, which was sent in with my transcripts.

I definitely need to call and confirm.

sundays no fundays… tuesdays might be terrifying. i got an email at 8pm tonight saying my transcripts were all received.

@enve520 – Wow, sort of surprises me considering it is a Saturday, but at the same time it doesn’t. NYU’s admissions office is so all over the place, I feel like I can’t be truly surprised by them at this point.

Hahaha an email at 8PM on a Saturday? That’s odd as ****.

And the ONLY good things about Sundays are (1) Football and (2) no school.

@Coolie–> Football even makes Monday’s bearable.

Haha I agree. Especially when the Broncos play (but it’s doubly worse when they lose)

I received an email today as well. It was a response to a question I had sent about submitting updated activities and information.

@Coolio –> Haha, obviously we weren’t meant to be friends. Total Eagles fan over here. My old HS AP teacher would defer homework from being due on Tuesdays if the Eagles would win on Monday nights. It was nerve-racking… more so than usual, haha.

@Benellis –> How long did it take them to respond to your original e-mail?

It took a few days to get a response.

Haha Lauren, I’m not much for the Eagles as a whole, but Vick is my favorite player outside of the Broncos team. I was actually rooting for them when the playoffs started (because the Broncos weren’t even close to making the Playoffs) so don’t be too quick to judge =)

It’s Manchester United vs Chelsea tomorrow. That’s the real football!

I am softly banging my head against the wall at this point…I actually stopped checking Albert login so that I dont go crazy when my checklists are checked off but my transfer credit doesnt show up…so I am devoting my obsession to this thread. My final exams start very late so I cant even find a way to NOT obsess over this whole admission thing.

@giantmidget… Chicharito!!!

I love that this thread suddenly became all about football… well, take my head off all this admission nervousness :P

I keep having dreams that I was accepted and then I wake up all depressed because I’m still waiting for an answer!!! BLEH.
Oh well, I spent the day in the city today and loved it. I really hope I get in because I didn’t apply to any other schools in New York, but I loooooooooove the city.

@giantmidget

Couldn’t agree more…I’m an American and I can say I’ve seen the real game (watched 'Pool beat MU 2-1 at Anfield - I have scouse relatives.)

On second thought, why do certain departments email versus send out postage?

@moniso

United supporter? What an amazing season it’s been, especially considering with probably the worst team United have had in a long time. Sadly, I don’t think there’s any realistic chance of beating Barcelona in the final, but hey, as supporter, you can always dream.

And yes, Chicharito is amazing. Especially since he’s taken Berbatov’s place in the team, who just doesn’t suit the team’s way of playing.

@durkadurka

Wow. That must have been a great experience. I want to study abroad in London just to go to all the stadiums haha.

One of the reasons I’m trying to transfer from my current university. There’s a huge American football culture here and I just don’t like it at all.
