[/ul]Reflection[ul]
[] Strengths: Fabulous recommendation, Unusual high school education, Gap Year activities, Good film, College Credits from advanced film courses.
[] Weaknesses: Lack of standardized testing besides SAT and AP, I was worried one of my essays which dealt with health problems was too sad, low SAT (although now it seems to have been slightly high for Tisch)
[] Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: I think my double gap year activities really made me stand out. I had taught classes on film (some at MIT), and had taken some college courses and done very well. A professor at BU allowed me to take advanced film analysis courses over the summer, and he provided my recommendation. I was also very proud of the film I made for Tisch.
[] Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: accepted to URI, will never know about anywhere else. XD

[/ul]General Comments: I didn’t rush to go to college. I took 2 years off partly because of health reasons, partly because I didn’t feel ready. I worked, I took classes, I taught classes, and I had a great internship. I had experiences I never would’ve had if I had rushed into college, and ultimately I applied because I wanted to, not because I had to. I was a stronger and more confident applicant because of it.
I hope my FA doesn’t suck though. XD
