The shock just swept me up slowly, that I have to read the letter ten times to finally understood it was a rejection letter. Wow, and I wanted it really bad.

Low SATs, high GPA, lots of AP, solid research background, modest extracurriculars.

I STILL haven’t heard? I am an international btw, so we get emails…
Oberlin must have forgotten me! The misery!

accepted from RI!! yay

Daughter was accepted today. Probably too expensive for us, even with large merit scholarship. oh well.

fishface, we don’t know your t-shirt sizes. It’s kind of a problem, but we haven’t found a really good way to gather them and still get t-shirts to you soon after your acceptance letters. We’re sending Mediums to the girls and Larges to the the boys.

A large will be too big for my son, maybe he should go to UVA ;)

can’t wait to visit Oberlin!

Neuroscience is very strong. My own son, a very happy first year student, is considering that major and enjoying the intro to neuroscience course he is taking now. Good luck to your daughter.

@ Nigiri - LOL.

I can’t wait for my t-shirt even though Medium is too big! Haha.

I am another first-year in the introductory neuroscience course, as well as the introductory lab course. It is a very strong program, though it is small. The focus on interdisciplinary approaches is very inspiring.

I am will be starting at Oberlin this fall and am interested about information about the neuroscience program. Do I absolutely need to take Biology 100 before I take the Intro to Neuroscience class? I took the bio AP Test and got a 3, so if I take the placement test Oberlin offers and do well, can I go straight into Intro to Neuroscience? Oh and I got a 4 on AP Chem if that matters…
