**Official Princeton Class of 2013 Decisions COUNTDOWN!**

Dbate, I am as guilty of fantasizing about Ivies as you are. And I realize that, in the process, I may be jinxing myself or raising my own expectations too high. Right now I have to admit that-hah!-Yale is winning in my insane mind as well. Will someone not show me the righteous path? (I am on a Princeton thread, after all…)

Floating Saturn, I’m not sure if I will be conscious on the evening of March 31st. I will probably pass out from hyperventilating (if that’s even possible). At least you will be doing something healthy.

And the Cambridge dream ends in a little less than two days… Wohoo for Barcelona! ;)

Also, the IDOC finally reported that they sent out my information to schools! How long of a wait did most of you have for this?

Yes, I do the same thing, Dbate. And I keep telling myself not to…

I don’t have anything planned for the 31st. I had it all planned out, but not being able to figure skate for 6 weeks stopped that plan. So now, I just know I’ll be at the library checking my decisions at 3pm, a hazelnut mocha in hand. Which is rather fitting, as that’s what I wrote my Princeton essay on. :)

You wrote about hazelnut mochas?! I wrote about hazelnut cakes! Essay stealer! She hi-jacked my essay topic! (Is that how you spell ‘hi-jacked’, btw? :))

This is freaky… I wrote about chai tea (kinda)

I wrote about how talkative I am haha

What prompt did you guys write this for?

The only Princeton ones I answered were the service essay (wrote about growing up in the Genocide) and an engineering essay (about a model of a winter wonderland I made during elementary school with electromagnets!)

I used the Pton app, so I did the 500 word one on a quote, and the 300 word one on Princeton’s motto.

I just did the commonapp and the Pton supp, so my talkative one was “topic of your choice” for the main CommonApp. My Supplemental essay was about my Precal teacher…and I despise math haha.

Topic of your choice for Common App, and choice #1 for the supplement (that was the one about someone who’d had an impact on your life, right?). Somewhat lame choice, but I actually liked my essay in the end. Huzzah! Most of my essays were not my faves. :</p>

I looked back at my common app essay today and kinda regret sending it. It was better than my EA essay, but I still think I should have stayed away from the issue essays…

I did Person Who Influenced You for CommonApp and the prompt about questions being like stones for my supplement.

I was pretty happy with the way my Princeton supplement turned out; I think I may have ended up taking the longest time to write that one, partly because I wanted to make sure I didn’t step outside of the boundaries of the question, though.

I did the questions like stones one for one of my essays, too! :]

My Princeton supplement was by far the best of all the supplements. I did the stone one and wrote about evolution and faith.

Guys, I definitely had an uber-realistic Princeton dream last night lolz.

I was just sitting in class in a decent-sized lecture hall, listening to a prof, then I walked outside and chilled in a courtyard haha

That is just torture hookem to have to wake up after that. Still better than a nightmare of a rejection letter. I’ve already had that nightmare of walking into a huge classroom at Princeton for a lecture for a chemistry class and then all of a sudden the professor in front of like 200 people looks straight at me and says “What are you doing here! We don’t want you go back to IOWA!” I may have been 2 in the morning when i woke up to that but i sure the hell didn’t go back to sleep!

Bonjour tout le monde - I wanted to just take this moment to thank you for providing this outlet, as a source for creative intellectualism. Waiting for results has been horrifically hellish, and you have all (in your babbling, rambling, tangent thinking) helped tremendously in this process. No one else from my school applied to Princeton (someone applied to Cornell-period), so it has been rather calming to be a lurker among you beautiful minds. 18 days! Best of luck to you all.

^ The phrase “beautiful mind” reminds me of the movie…and therefore of Princeton :D

If I get accepted, I plan on listening to this at full blast: [YouTube - A Beautiful Mind Soundtrack - Main Theme](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vr18I1PCECg)

The segment beginning at 1:06 makes me cry :)

a lurker among beautiful minds! welcome to the princeton thread =))

So I just found at that March 31 is our first tennis match, which is scary because even though I’m a senior, its my first year on the team. I figured I could forget about academics for once in my life! But now I have two huge things to worry about that day…
Btw did anyone notice 3/14 1:59 decision results for MIT? It’s pi!
How nerdy!
Reminds me of my school! Our motto is the Force. (lol) and we have a calculator mascot for the swim team.

^ ahahahaha! Even as an unapologetic humanities-lover who would never consider applying to a math/sci school, I adore MIT for doing that.

P.S. My physics teacher has nerdy stuff like that posted all over his bulletin board. One of my faves is a Foxtrot comic where the kid makes a Sudoku puzzle out of math equations. It’s totally solvable (my teacher did it!).
He also has a oldschool-style microwave ad that says “Radiation need not be feared, but IT DEMANDS YOUR RESPECT!”
lol he’s a beast.
