Oh, is it playing " I will survive"? I picked that for the music, but it isn’t working on my computer. Hmm. (And yes, the speakers are plugged in!)

wheee, my applicant is totally complete - recs in, interview done!

how has the waiting game been treating everyone?
march 31 seems so far off…

Hahahahahahha that music is INSANE. Or intense. Especially halfway into it.

Anyway my app’s complete as well
Now, 65 days… gah

wow the days are just flying by!

Last night in the women’s figure skating championship, they mentioned several times that Rachael Flatt is off to Princeton in the fall. How would she know that already?

Recruited/likely.

March 31’s not getting any closer =(

Anyone know when the admitted students weekend is? Lol, I feel so pretentious for even asking, but a friend and I are both on two teams that have competitions in April and both applied to Princeton… so with some luck one of might wind up with a schedule conflict lol.

Hmm, Katrina Hacker is @ Princeton, too. Pton apparently loves figure skaters…a good sign for me, perhaps? :p

findis- Yes it is! We’ll be down in the 50s by the end of the week! In church this morning I thought, “wow! It’s so close!”.

i was watching the us championships for figure skating last night, too!
good for them though - figure skating is such a time-consuming sport. i can’t even stand on skates!

^ ^ lol, virtually every sport is time consuming… hmm virtually everything is time consuming if u think about it o.0

^ This is true, but figure skating is more than time consuming, it’s LIFE consuming. Like gymnasts, figure skaters practice for hours upon hours upon hours EVERYDAY. It’s not like an hour long Model UN meeting where you eat for the first 20 minutes and then pretend to have legitimate discussion for the next 30 before you end early.

I was wondering if she hadn’t deferred her admittance from last year. I don’t know even if you are a recruited athelete that you would be able to say that you were “off to Princeton” in the fall. At least that’s what I figured when I heard it.

^ That makes sense, 2by2.

If any of you follow figure skating- did you watch Czisny win Saturday and think, “oh my gosh, we are so screwed at Worlds this year.” ?

It was nice to read such a passionate political discussion on the earlier pages of this thread. I wish I could find the same at my school, but, in an apparent effort to accomplish a goal that is evidently beyond me, my principal has made the word “Obama” practically a swear word. My English class was being observed this morning, and, before I was able to speak the next word in my sentence, she made a huge production of stifling me simply because I said “Oaa” and nothing else! Apparently, the rest of the world is not aware that, when waiting for admissions decisions, high school seniors should not be crossed!

^^ ahhaha. Wow that is absurd man – lol idk what to say? Where do you live?? Is it still like that at your school even after the election? Wow…

^ lol, seriously.
I mean, my little private prep school is about as conservative as they come (overall, of course…we definitely have some indies–me!–and some liberals, but the general vibe is uber-red). Anyway, despite their Republican leaning, our administration basically shut down all classes during the inauguration so we could watch it in the auditorium. They reiterated that, even if you disagree with almost all of his crazy, Socialistic policies (me again :)), it was a great moment in history of which you should stand in awe, appreciating that you got to live during it.

I live in Southern Louisiana. The school did shut down so that we could watch the swearing-in though. There is still, unfortunately, still lots of racial tension in this area. So many people (a vast majority of my classmates) do not see anything past Obama’s color; therefore, the “cursifying” of his name has happened, I guess, to silence any problems before they start. Myself, I just don’t like his politics, but I have been making political jokes long before Obama and I will continue long after. Even so, there must be a better way than just stopping all political conversation entirely. I was cut off just for saying his name; she did not even know what I was going to say before cutting me off!

wow … i was gunna guess Louisiana… damn that’s crazy that people can still be that ignorant. well what wereee you going to say about obama anyways? ahha
lol and hookem, definitely not an indie… name one dem that you support(ed)…

I’m in Texas, but in AUSTIN, so it’s Obama central. My school held a mock election in which Bam won by 72%. So. Innaug Day was defffinnniteelly huge, heh. =P

this is probably a dumb question, but do the decisions really come out March 31?
