[/ul]Other Factors:
General Comments/Congratulations/Venting/Commiserations, etc: OMG, I drove for half an hour to find the mail man, and I was so scared when I saw a pretty thin envelope. Then, when I got home, I was hyperventilating so much. I could barely open the envelope;I fell on the floor. When I opened it, I found a folder and read one word: Congratulations! I flipped; I started jumping and running around my house.
Congrats to all those accepted. For those deferred, I wish you the best of luck in RD.

you can do that?

I was in ecstasy seeing my mailman approach our house, as he stopped by our neighborhood one house by one house… I waited anxiously in front of my mail box.
…

After a moment that seemed like an eternity, he comes in, and gives me thin, white, small envelope from Princeton.

I got deferred…my hope is gone.
I’ll post later.

. I feel miserable…
I wanted to dedicate my 100th post with huge fat accpeted letters at the front.

I was deferred too…I’ll post later

Gettingin, I got the same bureacratic bs I expected when I called, “It’s not set up like that blah blah”

So at the end, I just replied, “Well, thanks for your help, I can tell that with people in our government with your ambition, we’ll be A-OK in the future.”

HAHA ugh thats sooo annoying! I guess I was just lucky…got a really nice lady on the phone…good luck!

It’s 5:01 pm now and no one is picking up, I guess they are gone.

haha argon, I would have ripped the letter open as soon as the mailman’s hand left the envelope =p

To ppl who were deferred: Do deferrals come priority mail too???,
because if they do not, the rest of us are probably deferred/rejected

i wouldn’t say that… last year people got acceptance envelopes on the 3rd day, too… it just depends i think (on what i do not know… location? local mail system??)

Yes, I would also like to know - do deferral letters come priority or regular?

I live 3 hrs from Pton and have not gotten my letter, and I’m getting nervous.

No eventer, the only people who have gotten decisions are those on the East Coast (with the exception of one Californian who tracked down his decision letter!). If everyone else was rejected/deferred, that would mean that really no one from anywhere aside from Miami, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, etc. has been accepted. Second, just because some letters were sent on Thursday does not mean all of them were (though admittedly, it’s likely). The only reason I say that is because Princeton said they’d mail decisions on Friday, not Thursday. Thirdly, people outside of New Jersey have been getting their decision letters at the same time (both deferred and accepted). Currently the people getting their letters are all from the East Coast and mostly from larger cities. On Monday the rest of the US should get their letters. If you don’t get it Monday, there’s a good chance that you may have been deferred (though things can happen–remember it’s Christmastime so the mail is a bit slower this time of year).

I don’t know if I can drag myself to school on Monday…

hey! I’m a girl!!!

sorry, i meant ppl close to princeton who had not received letters(i live in NY) might be deferred, it just seems like there are so many more accpetances than deferrals. also you would think that in places close to Princeton priority vs. non-priority would not matter much
Can any ppl who were deferred say whether the letter was priority or not?

i got deferred today and the letter was NOT priority
you can tell if you got in just by looking at the envelope
accepted = huge manilla
not accepted = regular small envelope

ughh and the mailman still hasn’t arrived today yet.
