What does it mean if you are getting lots of email from NON-competitive colleges this week?

It means you did terribly on the PSAT, probably around 150-.

Actually, it probably means nothing. I always get crap from random colleges.

I just got an email back from one the administrators at my school and she said she just sent the scores to the guidance department!!

I’m checking tomorrow!

lucky…i have a feeling i won’t see mine for a while

Whoever gets them first…mind putting the right answers up? (as in, a, b, c, etc. for each section)

I really want to check mine, and I know I won’t get mine until January or so since my school was super slow last year. :(

I just got them today… 217 (67cr, 73m, 77w) I’m from new york so I’m praying that maybe they lowered the qualifying score by one point because this is a new test or something. I think it was really unfair that on the math, I only got one wrong and left one blank and that lowered my score to a 73, but oh well. How does it work with being a semifinalist and being commended? which one is good, or are they the same thing, sort of confused on that. i_lose, you want me to post the answers? Did you get to keep your test booklet, because I thought you don’t get them back until you get your scores, just say yeah if you want me… anyone, good luck everyone

JMarsh, how many did you get wrong and leave blank in each section? What were your raw scores?

Wow, 1 wrong and 1 blank was a 73? I’m screwed…

Jmarsh, what were the questios to the black women passage. The answers are online on CB, but not the questions!!

yeah, I agree with haz, tell us how many you got wrong so we can figure out the curve!!!

CR: (67) 3 omitted, 3 wrong, raw score of 42/48. M: (73) 1 omitted, 1 wrong, raw score of 36/38. W: (77) 4 omitted, 0 wrong, 35/39

That’s a harsh cuve, except for writing. Are you sure JMarsh. Your raw score should have been 41 with guessing.

did you take it saturday or wednesday. We need to know that for curve reasons.

Yeah, that’s what I thought, but in the spot on the bottom where it says “You answered correctly 42 out of 48 critical reading questions” it also says “and earned 42 points” so I don’t know if that’s a mistake or if they just didn’t notice,I took it wednesday, by the way…

What a tough verbal curve!!!
The saturday psat verbal section was much tougher than the bulletin sample psat verbal section. Yet, On the bulletin’s scale JMarsh’s CR score is 70

Man, the math curve was about 80/76/73/71. That sucks. Writing is good, though. I think I got a 34/39 raw score. That should translate into a 75 or 76. What was up though with some of the Error ID’s? Very hard stuff. Critical reading seems about normal. Hold on. JMarsh, did you take the Wedsenday or Saturday PSAT? I’m guessing you took the Saturday one.

Yeah JMarsh did you take the Wednesday PSAt or Saturday PSAT
That CR curve is gonna fu** me up

That math curve is crazy

i’m guessing it’s a math harder curve because more people aced that section

when it says you earned ___ points, that’s just how many you got right
subtract your # of wrong answers X .25 from that
so your verbal was either 40 or 41

was it sat or wed? unfortunately, the administrator lied to me. she thought the scores were in, but she was mistaken. sorry guys.
