Official Regular Decision Application Thread!

No, they have shown the FAFSA and CSS received since mid-January. This status changed in the past couple of days. My daughter was told she would receive her full financial award information with her official regular decision acceptance.

kalieee6,

I applied to the SED too! I really only applied in hopes of getting the presidential scholarship but your sats are WAYYYYYY higher than mine.
1930 SAT, 3.7 uw, 4.3 w, 3 APs. so I guess you’ll probably get it over me. haha. do you know how many they give out?

and out of curiosity, what did you write your essay on?

Any idea when the decisions will be released?!

By/around April 1st

Just as a point of reference, last year’s decisions were released on March 26th.

I heard they came out on the 28th last year.BUT I have to say that means nothing. This year I found out from a school on the 18th (last year they heard on the 12th) and then another school released decisions around the 13th (last year it wasn’t until the 23rd)…
So who knows haha

I just have a quick question. Earlier in the year I was told to send in verification of my US citizenship to BU, so I did, but now “Citizenship Match” comes up as “NOT REQUIRED and do not have to be submitted.” instead of “RECEIVED by our office” under my financial aid section on my BU Web Portal. Why did BU suddenly change their mind? Is it because I didn’t get in (for Fall 2011)? Sorry, BU is my top school and I’m really nervous about getting in.

Who told you to send in a verification of your US Citizenship? that shouldn’t be required, so that’s probably why it says NOT REQUIRED. I am not a citizen and did have to send verification that I could be in the US legally, so perhaps whoever told you that was somehow confused about whether or not you are a citizen.
i wouldn’t worry about it… better to send in too much than not enough
i’m sure it has no reflection on your decision, either.

My school doesn’t really “do” GPAs, but my average is 91.
SAT: 2190, ACT: 32
CAS: International Relations!

Good luck, everyone! :)

They asked me to send in something that verified that I was a citizen (so did many of my other schools) because I became a citizen when my mom became a citizen but I hadn’t gotten a passport yet. After I sent in my FAFSA, I was told to send in proof that I was a citizen so I applied for a received my US Passport. Well, I hope it doesn’t mean anything regarding admissions. Thanks!

looks like it’s late march (I’m on my phone though so I doubt you can see the link… Just go and google “Twitter Boston university admissions” and the second link that pops up should be a message to someone saying decisions will be released bythe end of march!!)

That’s great news! Thanks Gryphon. So that means it’s coming in the next 11 days :)

I called admissions on Friday and they said they should be announced by the end of this week, but definitely no later than April 1st.
Hang in there :)

SAT I: 1780, SAT II: Math II - 670, Biology E - 750
CAS - Applying undecided
My English really needs improvement.
Hmm, I wonder what are the chances for an international student like myself to get into BU…?

End of March is only a few days away… Getting nervous.
Will all decisions be posted online at the same time?

SAT I: 1870. SAT II: 800 with listening in a language.

My sats are not great. But the essays are really good ( in my opinion ) and the recs too…
Cannot wait…

@Miriabilis
I am also an international student. Are you asking for financial aid?
Because if you aren’t, I think it increases your chance to get in.
But either way. We are in the same categoryyy .
good luck

Im guessing decisions are the same date as last year either the 25th or 26th… probably the 25th though because that’s a friday! GOOD LUCK TO ALL :)

Ahhhhh super nervous!
This week could either go by really fast or sloth-like slow …
Haha, we’ll see  Good luck everyone!

^ It is going by sooo slow. I’m dying here!

really? by the end of the week? that’s great. sooner than I expected actually. but it is taking so long.
