wait can someone type up that union set question

These questions have all been answered in the past…

y=x is 4
parabola tangent = 4
union is all except 0

iknow. but i dont remember what my answer was so i would like to see the question for the union one.

can someone who knows the answer to the f(X) question explain how they confirmed it on their calculator

the question was that (3,5) was a point on f(x) so which of the following points is part of f (x-1)?

i thought for sure that the answer was not (3,5)
was there a not enough information choice for this one?

you don’t need a calculator for this question…

Q: f(2) = 5. what point satisfies f(x-1)=y?

Let’s just pretend that x = 3. then what is x-1?
x-1 = 3-1 = 2.

Then what is f(x-1)?
f(x-1)=f(3-1)= f(2).

What is f(2)?
f(2) = 5 (given).

So it doesn’t matter what the function f is, all that we know is that 3,5 satisfies f(x-1) = y.

“the question was that (3,5) was a point on f(x) so which of the following points is part of f (x-1)?”

Wait… (3,5) was NOT the given point on there… was it?

I thought (3,5) was the answer.

oh, i thought the point given was (3,5), hopefully i didn’t make that mistake on the test

do you know if (3,5) was choice b

Hmm, maybe i switched things around. Oh well. The idea’s there
and I’m pretty sure I chose choice B, yeah.

Okay, new question: What was the given point on the graph?

Okay, well, from my reasoning:

the given had to be (2,5) for the answer to be (3,5)

if y= f(x) or (2,5) point
then y = f(x-1) is going to shift to the right to (3,5) yes?

wait can someone type up the actual union set question

okay, so (1,5) was choice D and (3,5) choice B or something? Was (1,5) even a choice at all?

i think (1,5) was a chioce, but it was wrong.

Does anyone remember what they got 33 for?

pliskin is a homoo

for the sequnce question with the 1, 4, 7, 10 … wasn’t the answer 60 if it was the difference between the 40th and 20th term how come these people are saying 36

Because it was the difference between the 40th and 28th term. Not the 20th term.

the answer is 36 because the 28th number is 82 and the 40th number was 118

118-82=36

for that question with the 40th term and 28th term, does anyone remember if “35” was an answer choice? I’m afraid I did 117-82 instead of 118-82.):

No i dont think 35 was a answer choice… i might be wrong but i thought the answers were far apart in numbers
