Anyone remember the question about the salmon towards the end? The line in the passage had “it” in it and I changed it to “the salmon”?

I vote library is the most personal!

I put “then I read it” because it said which most resembles a past personal experience with already having read the book. I saw it in a library doesn’t really mean he actually read it so I thought the best option was “then I read it”. But you could be right as well so im not very confident @ AkLvkk. And again, did u guys get dashes as answers in the ship passage?

@daveed: it should have had salmon in the answer because if I remember correctly the other answers had ambiguous pronouns or something and sounded really awkward

I got commas for the ships.

Can someone tell me if they put for the salmon just “,they swim” or “and then they swim”

I’m almost positive it was “And then I read it.” I read the entire paragraph with both options and it was the only one that sounded right. Plus it flowed well into the second paragraph.

But it was an exaggerated pause. In the ACT red book it clearly states exaggerated pauses are resembled by dashes

Plus him seeing it in the library implies the reason he hadn’t read it was because he had never had a chance to before. The opening paragraph seems to indicate he knew plenty about the book, but had simply never taken the time to ignore the Hollywood tropes and read it.

actually I forget if I put commas or dashes. And really? *** it looks like I"m getting a 34 now for english. whatevs going to eat ice cream or something.

But why doesn’t the library option work

Edit: okay… you kind of convinced me.

what was the infestation one?

I don’t think it’s infested. Infested has a negative connotation. The whole story gave a more positive impression of the bats

Oh i remember. that was the one about how he described the caves. i dont really remember it but i feel like there was a way you had to describe the cave? does anyone remember?

The infested question asked which could not be used in the passage, so infested is correct because of its negative connotation

what were the other choices hula?

I don’t specifically remember but they all fit with the positive tone towards bats in the passage

did anyone get the question about the bat passage… it was like in the middle of the first page of it and it asked which would most support the main idea of this paragraph? the answers we like his father gave him a book, he studied at university and transferred, etc

omgitsvicki, I think it was the high school senior one.

high school senior one. 100%

yes, that is what i got as well

Remenber the one with " he got his degree in 1987"? I put a period instead of the comma. What was the answer?
