I agree the title shouldn’t be the sole factor in this debate. Do you remember the source of the passage? was it NYtime?

Honestly, I’m not completely sure. I’m leaning towards the second one.

haha yeah, I’m having my fingers crossed it was the first one >.<

@jy2013
i dont remember sorry! i think we can agree that that was question was very unfair

Either way, the question was a little bit misleading haha. I hope the curve doesn’t suck just because this one and the informative/argumentative one are making me just a bit paranoid.

no problem, I was just trying to see if we could find it and I had my suspicions it might’ve been an editorial. I just hope the curve is good, my goal is 33-34 in this section. I get that and I’m golden!

Yeah, I wanted a 34 in math and a 30 in reading. Pretty sure I just ended up with like a 34 in reading a 30 on math. The irony almost hurts.

hmm I thought the math was not bad, i finished with 15 minutes left, but now i’m scared I made some silly error like filling in the wrong bubble cause I went so fast–I’ve done that in the past.
From the main ACT thread it seems that the math section was tough?

@jy I’m in newspaper and plan to major in journalism and I’ve never read an editorial that is that objective.

Did anyone get “uncommon among most other organisms” for the last grasshopper question?

Yes^^^^^^^

Can somebody give lists of questions for superstores and their answer choices plz?

what were the other choices for this problem? please explain

@omgitsvicki - Yes. I looked it up in the text to be sure. It said something along the lines of other insects not having as much variability as the grasshoppers did, thus it was uncommon.

did the internet provide more publicity/ greater exposure for authors

Yes it did.

does anyone remember putting light intensity as one answer for the film?

also can anyone confirm the informative/argumentative question

Wasn’t the coloration common in grasshoppers but uncommon in all other organisms?

I have two questions on the grasshopper one that no one has really discussed, but were the only 2 problems that actually gave me trouble (I think) on the entire reading section.

What was the purpose of the 5th paragraph (last one)?
I put A: To show how dedicated Darwin was to finding out the reason behind the grasshopper’s coloration. But I heard someone else put D: To show that his hypothesis was false.
I thought A actually made sense with the article and had a purpose, while D was just the last sentence of the paragraph and wasn’t the big picture.

Also, what was the main purpose of the paragraph?
I put: A biological evolution study or something with one definitive answer. (i wasn’t sure though)

thanks!
