Great to see some CC students made it!

I graduated hs with a 2.8, 16 varsity letters, heavy music involvement, student gov, clubs, others…

Eastern Michigan Univ: 1.6 GPA, ended up dropping out. Eastern was terrible, 3 students were killed. Star football player was killed yesterday. Terrible people, terrible environment. So, I transferred to Univ. of Michigan but not doing so well.

Is this a good idea?–> Take two years off and go the autodidact path. After two years of self study, continue one year at Michigan and take very hard classes, ace them all. Then, apply to Stanford as a transfer. CS major.

So, student does terrible, takes break to find self, then excels greatly. Good plan, or is the autodidact plan frowned upon with admissions?
