Quality, not quantity! :P

I mean, do you really want more people pledging? More people pledging probably means more people applying. And that means it’s harder for us. Let Yale have their 68… last year there were only 44 who pledged for REA, total. Considering we’re already at 42, and we still have not-quite-a-month to go…

You know, that’s actually a valid point. I guess the principle of beating Yale in terms of numbers of posts in the respective EA threads doesn’t apply here. :p

And don’t hasten to forget that you really have no clue as to how many people will even post their decision. Pledges can and will likely be broken. You should be counting after decisions are released ;D

On the other hand, released numbers showed that Stanford saw huge increase in SCEA applicants while Yale actually had 4 less applications than they received last year, so the # of people pledging probably isn’t representative of the overall # of people that applied.

^^ The number of people who pledged but didn’t post last year was surprisingly small, actually. Only 8.

^ Horrid Yale people.
I just don’t want to see everybody else’s acceptances after I’m rejected. (Because, I mean, I know me. I’ll definitely be looking at them. Huge sense of morbid curiosity.)
