I’m from Alabama…Asian though 
lol. I’m a pretty average applicant if I have to say so, but I’m really hoping my essays get me in. My SAT scores suck…ACT score is decent. Yeah, I’m hoping they’re as holistic as they say. That’s part of what made me fall in love with the place 
The fact that it’s not an ivy-league-2400SAT-5.0GPA kind of school (in terms of selection), but still beats the ivies in so many ways. Sigh. My fingers will be crossed for the next 3 months.</p>
