Actually, if you search for Knave on Wikipedia, you get the disambiguation page… you have to choose to be dirty yourself.

(But now that I’ve looked it up, I really want to hear the South African hard rock/metal band! XD)

At this point, I’ve given up hope. So if I’m rejected, I won’t be too devastated, and if I’m accepted, I will be… yeah, I can’t really describe that.

But… deferred? I think I’d be kind of angry. I just want an answer!

EDIT: Dear Stanford Admissions Officers, please let us steal your brains for a day or two. Or mind-meld with you. We’re not picky as to which…

yeah, I totally agree with you guys
it’s getting harder to do schoolwork because it seems so tedious, and most of the time I’m itching to know the results! =P

Although if I end up getting rejected (quite likely), at least I can console myself with some cheerful Christmas music…

and I believe admission officers aren’t really looking for a specific quality. That’s what keeps me going, and believing in this small glimpse of hope that I, perhaps, may be the exception.

But like wulfran, I’ve given up. As in, I’d do anything to get in, but I’m telling myself that I won’t get it. haha.

AND I WOULD STRANGLE A CUTE KITTY IF I GOT DEFERRED. oh my goodness. Waiting till Dec. 10th is bad enough already, and no, gotta wait more? ASDOIHJOWEJOIRW

Cheerful Christmas music? I actually just heard the “Christmas Shoes” song yesterday, and it got me again. It gets me every time. Such a sad song…

BigKev- I’ve already applied to 6 other schools, so I’ll still be interested to see where I get in. However, I’ll most definitely accept Stanford. I’m already PUMPED for admit weekend.

but one thing though; I had a friend who was in love with Stanford since he was like seven. He applied. Got waitlisted. Was heartbroken. Did everything he humanely could to get in. Still on the waitlist.

He’s at another fab school, and he’s absolutely loving it. While I absolutely love Stanford, I don’t want to be so hungover that I take away from the college experience that I should be having.

So yep. I’d do anything to get it. I’d be very sad if I didn’t get it. But I’d do anything to recover from the hungover state of mind. And move on.

I hope this doesn’t sound so high and mighty bc it’s not supposed to be. Just saying, as we echoed this throughout this thread, I hope y’all are happy and remain fabulous wherever you end up in. :)

I hope that I qualify for some sort of scholarship at USC. That way, I’ll be able to convince my parents to send me out there easier.

My dream has been to live out in Cali since I was a little boy and although going to Stanford would be amazing, if I don’t get in, I would also love to go to Southern Cal.

yep, cheerful Christmas music. Christmas is my favorite holiday! (and not just because of presents…haha…I just love the atmosphere!)

yeah, I agree. I would HATE to be deferred. While it would still mean that I would have a chance of acceptance, I don’t really want to be left hanging. I want a sense of closure come December 10th!!!

Hehe I’ve definitely been lurking on this thread forever but have neglected to introduce myself… ANYWAY I’m a female from a very competitive high school in the Bay Area. I say “hella,” HELLA. I also enjoy KITTIES (especially my cat ), Glee!, and good music (Arcade Fire and Lady Gaga anyone??)

Like everyone else here, I’ve been experiencing Stanford bipolar syndrome… I feel like I’m going to get rejected but something in me is still holding out hope… it would be AWESOME, especially since all of you are such awesome, chill, fun people Not to be more creeper, but I totally admire your optimism, Courtney Wish I could think more like that!

and Lady Gaga = good music…no.
HAHA. it’s all good [don’t be offended. I love Paparazzi, but that’s probably the only song that I can sing over and over w/o getting tired]

9 days, guys I hope you’re as ready as I am. I can’t help but feel like a huge number of us will be accepted this year- you people are way too amazing, and I know your personalities shone through on your apps :)
