Obviously you won’t, Sam. Is there not a way to contact the mods, Wulfran? Talking to all of you all night long that I have enough make up work to keep me busy for the rest of the week… I’m thankful for that!

Hiiii ok I’m new here. Well not really, I’ve been reading this thread for a while, but never posted. I’ve decided to post now. Hi!!!

Are there any other Canadians here, by any chance? Or any other int’l students who are also applying for fin aid?

Sarba and AngelAngel are international, chealy. Though not from Canada. Welcome
I’m glad you’ve been reading for a while and won’t be dumb enough to ask why we expect decisions on Friday. If you’re interested in getting to know some of us on a more personal level (and talk about some very inappropriate things), pm me your name and I’ll add you to the Facebook group!

I mean, I’m sure there is, but I haven’t looked for it before and I’m on my iPod right now. Simplified interface = <3.

it’s not only inappropriate things, but we have gotten to know each other a lot better

I ask because Stanford’s not need blind to international students, and I’m applying for fin aid, and obviously Stanford is hard enough to get into for American citizens, and their website says that it’s even harder to get in if you are an int’l student and you apply for fin aid. So in my mind, I’m screwed. I was wondering if there was anyone else in the same boat.

Lol! Chealy I am international and have applied for aid.

Court I resent that you forgot to mention me…
and here i though twe had something… :p

Oh dear lord Courtney. I sure hope you haven’t been asking ALL the newbies to our group those same awkward questions…

kimathi - are you completely freaking out?? Because I am. I’ve pretty much given up all hope haha

Ruthannah she has, at least the boys… Its to see is we are compatible. Its our essay question if you will. :p

I think you guys are harsher than Stanford’s admissions committee :P

Come on guys!! Positive energy!!!

We can’t depress ourselves beforehand! What if you guys DO get in? Then you will be sad that you spent so much time stressing when you could be happy!

Remember: you put in your best possible effort in the application. You did your best, and now is the time to get rewarded for that effort.

Be optimistic!! :)

Here’s my philosophy…
If I’m extremely pessimistic (“I know I won’t get in”) then
A) I get in and I’m OVER-THE-MOON so surprised and excited!!
B) I don’t get in and I’m only semi-depressed because I saw it coming.

If I’m optimistic then
A) I get in and I’m so excited but not as much because I expected it
B) I don’t get in and I’m MISERABLE and DEPRESSED and an emotional wreck

My pessimism is for the best I think…

positivity positivity positivity.

@ Chealy not really, I did my best so que sera sera!! Plus i’ve met so many chill people through this that it’ll be a win either way… :)

Kimathi I’m sorrryy! I didn’t forget you, I just forgot that you didn’t live HERE!

Alright, so I’m going out right now to run a few errands. When I come back, I expect this thread to have extended by at least a page ;)

Courtney ask me an awkward question too :(

it will have increased by like 3 or 4 pages

^^ haha Mao, you WANT to be asked an awkward question?? :p
