*Official* Stanford REA 2015 Applicants' Discussion Thread

Hahaha, I can imagine that!! Just randomly being in a store or some other public area, pulling out your phone, and then suddenly starting to shriek or yell with excitement… :D

Hmmm… If decisions come out the 10th (a friday) like we are expecting, what will you guys be doing? Will you choose to stay at home so you can be alone? Or go out to get your mind off of it?

I’m cancelling my tutoring session (i tutor), so i can focus on my loss or gain that day

I’ll most likely be in school, but I’ll rush home as soon as I can so I can await my decision.

Hmmmm that’s a good question. My friend is having a masquerade party Saturday nite so most likely I won’t want to do too much…I dont even want to think about it haha

Is anyone going to see harry potter at midnight tomorrow?!

Oh I DEFINITELY am!!! Gonna stand in line for 9 hours for seats, dressing up as Cho Chang- the whole nine yards! I am so excited!!!

Interview is done. Deep breaths.

I LIED. PANICTIEMS.

I think it just hit me that I just applied early to Stanford. It hadn’t sunk in yet.

I’m definitely staying home on the 10th, though.

SERIOUSLY ezbreezy who the eff do you think you are butting into this conversation and scrutinizing my posts without even thoroughly reading them?

No right… no right.

back to HP,
my schools is having an official dress up day tomorrow.

That’s so awesome! I’m dressing up ( cloak and all) and am going to embarass myself, but it’ll be soo much fun!!!

And tell him, Michelle! :)

I doubt I’ll be dressing up, I’m swamped with work

Riddle me this, my AP Span Lit teacher is giving us tests Friday, Monday, AND Tuesday. I really have no idea how much material she is planning to spread out across those three days but that’s gonna be a nightmare in itself.

Oh and I hope it went well, Wulfran! I’m sure it did!

I like your fire, so I’ll let you off easy this time.

@ezbreezy

I think you should read posts properly.

Nobody here said that.
Please do not try to provoke fights in the thread. That is the last thing we want.

Were it that easy, theoretical physics (and economic modeling) would have been cakewalk. There are lots of factors to be considered here, and simple regression analysis will not be able to model this.

^^ …

^^^ I’m calming down a little now that I’m remembering more than just the end of it. XD Thanks, Courtney! It did go okay. :)

Okay, let me rephrase that. I disagree with the idea that higher SAT does not CAUSE higher acceptance rate.

I don’t want that either.

Fair enough, but it’s still (theoretically) possible to tease out SAT as a factor by other methods.

You like my fire? You’re not the first to be attracted to my feistyness… (ehem court)

Didn’t anyone ever tell you not to play with fire

^ I love this post.

@ezbreezy

Nobody questioned the causal connection in the first place. What we were arguing, in fact, was whether the correlating curve plateaus after a certain threshold or not. :)

Yeah, but I didn’t listen…
