Official Stanford SCEA 2016 Applicants' Discussion Thread

@jdlace

that’s correct :wink:
there is already a separate thread for stats+decisions…

I am afraid to post mine :o

I also vote SEPARATE :)

Things I’m worried about if I don’t get in: Having to throw away my Stanford Phone Case, Sweater and tank top. Having to tell all my friends who were sure I’d get in that I’m just not stanford material. My mom crying for a month. Becoming apathetic and emo at school.

Things to worry about if I get in: Blowing out my voice from screaming. Accidentally breaking my computer when I read the email. Becoming apathetic at school because I’m above it.

OH MY GOD THIS JUST NEEDS TO BE DONE.

Man if i lived on the west cost, waiting would be that hard, because im busy, i come home at 12 and am busy until 2. But i have to wait til 6. But im pretty patient.

Hahahahaha patience doesn’t exist

So I’ve been creeping the thread for a while but just not made an account… Home from school on the west coast trying desperately to distract myself! Any ideas? :(

Good luck, everyone!

@Olivia make a playlist! It’s what I’m doing. I’ve only reached the M’s and I have over 400 songs between my Accepted, Deffered and Denied playlists. They’re pretty bomb.

@lessthan3x4 That’s a good idea! I’ll get on it! Thanks :)

heyy guys … any sound on exact hours left for the result declaration ???

3 hours, 31 minutes.

Agh, so freaked.

Please pledge!

I’m trying to manage to convince myself that I’m going to be rejected, just so that I’m slightly more okay when decisions come out. It’s a last ditch attempt on my part to control my emotions.

I was actually fine until this morning. When I woke up and saw the announcement was when I started getting nervous.

Got home from school about an hour and a half ago, checked this thread, found the infamous news, and I’m pretty much chilling now. I don’t plan on being a part of the “Ohmygodohmygodohmygod XX Minutes Left! Good luck everybody!” movement that always occurs on these threads.

It’s unproductive, gets my hopes up, and NONE OF US NEED LUCK WITH OUR DECISION AT THIS POINT. Decisions have been made. The only thing luck could possibly do at this point is cause a computer glitch that sends you the WRONG email with better news than you were supposed to receive. In which case you’d receive an even bigger blow to the ego when the error was corrected.

I wish you all luck in handling your decisions; I know I’ll need help handling mine. Rejection never feels good, but it makes us stronger, and we’ll all end up in the right place!

I thought the announcement wasn’t out till 9 Pacific so when I woke up I didn’t even check… then I looked at 8 and saw it. Ugh.
These last three hours are going to be TORTURE.

I HATE THIS FEELING
haven’t been this anxious since, ugh

i need that car from back to the future

I am so scared!!!

Also, check the Dartmouth forum for an accurate representation of what we’ll be experiencing in ~3 hours. Decisions were just released.

EDIT: I forgot that not all “Class of 2016 SCEA” threads are like ours, and thus there’s no activity over there. Well, so much for that. I assume in a couple hours there will be more results…

Thanks for teaching us the science of luck

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

okay. ****. whatever. either i get in or get rejected. oh ye defred maybe whatevvvver
gonna shut down emotionally this is not fun
