haha i heard that too but i dont think its gonna snow

Well, there’s nothing I can do now. We’re all bound to make mistakes once in a while. So who wants to share what they wrote for the roommate essay?

I don’t really like snow…I even have this pretty large coat - it even looks like an oversized trench coat at first, lol.

Anyway, I wrote about my passion for dancing with an example of one of my performances for my roommate essay.

@amaninakupenda, are you from the northeast? we’re only supposed to get a couple inches overnight ![]()
@tsukiyami, I wrote about my being a night person, made fun of my own shortness, and talked about TV shows I liked…random, but represents me

So I just resigned myself to the fact that I’m going to be depressed whenever Stanford emails us…
And I haven’t even gotten results yet. What’s gonna happen to me?!?!

@serendipitee
The wand (school) chooses the wizard (student), Mr. Serendipitee. It’s not always clear why. But I think it is clear that we can expect great things from you.

I wrote my roommate essay about how I love to hack in a good way, how I’m an entrepreneur, a futurist, an innovator, and other things. I made sure it had my unique voice. I think I did a pretty good job…

i hated the roommate essay. i feel like i did it wrong

I wrote mine on how I’m the complete opposite of what people judge me for when I tell them my religion, as well as the generational divide in my family because of how my religious views conflict with my ancestry.

I know it’s a bit more serious than what a lot of people wrote, but it’s something I really wanted my future roommate (and the admissions committee) to hear about from me :/

And jdlace, I really don’t think there’s a wrong way to do it. I wrote mine pretty seriously, and I have a friend who wrote about their adoration of Glee, and the resulting scorn from friends. As long as it’s your voice, I don’t see how it could be done “wrong”.

I agree, there really is no wrong way as long as its about yourself.

I wrote about how I have a phobia of escalators haha

I wrote about my love for computer programming, exercising, watching and I playing sports, and playing video games!

Anyone in here speedcube? I started looking into Stanford after they held a competition there in 09.

@tsukiyami I used to when I was in middle school. I’m not that good anymore though.

my roommate essay was about my constant struggle of getting up on time for school, and how im gonna engineer a better alarm clock LOL. #intense

i can do two sides of a 3x3x3 cube…

I don’t want to analyze my two poems for AP Lit or study for my Ap Bio test tomorrow… Help me procrastinate ![]()
Is anyone here applying to Harvey Mudd?
Does anyone here want to go to Med School?

I think I’m more obsessed with speedcubing than StanfordCS is with stanford lol.
I own 20 3x3s

are any of you Taylor Swift fans? <3

@ThousandMiles hahaha NO. T-swizzle may be worse than kpop.
