<p>35 act, 800/800/800 sat2 in math2/bio/chem, 4.48 wgpa, 7 aps, Intel semi finalist, usabo semifinalist, asb president, research, great recommendations, etc etc. mean nothing.</p>
<p>Reason: 3 kids from my school got in with far inferior stats but were legacy and I guess they couldn’t go beyond their " quota" of x per school. </p>

<p>statlanta didn’t play the race card. it was the other guy. I completely get it; you’re just mad. I’d feel the same way. You work so hard in school telling yourself this is the award and you don’t get it. Well lemme just say this isn’t the award. Your hard work will pay off in due time if you continue to strive. Maybe not now but maybe when you’re earning 400K as a surgeon or something. I really hope this doesn’t deter you. Just brush it off and keep moving. Stay strong :).</p>

<p>Exactly! Like this is just one school, like I understand you really wanted to go there, but there are lots others in which you will be perfectly happy! You’ll see! Even if it didn’t turn out the way you wanted, you just have to keep persevering and never give up, and one day you <em>will</em> be making 400K and it truly will have been Stanford’s loss for rejecting you.</p>
<p>Hey just wanted to say best of luck to all of you. I am very honored to have been accepted to Stanford, along with 5 of my peers. For anyone wondering, I had no idea whether I would be accepted or not, but my “chill” philosophy is something that works for me in times like these. But it doesn’t matter; we are all great people who will do amazing things, and we should never forget that. Good luck!</p>

<p>International here, been lurking on this thread ever since i hit “submit” on the common app. This is actually my second year applying to stanford - deferred my studies due to conscription into the army.</p>
<p>And this is also my second flat-out rejection.</p>
<p>Well, that’s it i guess, just can’t match up to the hordes of international asians out there. I’m in a zen mood right now because i braced myself for rejection, but it’ll probably start hurting tonight. Truth is, reading this thread actually made me feel a bit worse as well.</p>
<p>So, for those of you who were rejected… At least you haven’t been rejected twice, haha.</p>

<p>May I ask, what exactly is it that your motivating yourself to get? Sure, admittance to Stanford, but then what?</p>
<p>Sure, I thought that Stanford served for me the ideal community to participate in the current social and technological revolution, however, UC Berkeley, Penn, MIT, Columbia, Harvard, UCLA, or McGill all have some pretty damn fine programs and minds. Obviously it’s disappointing, but honestly, I was most emotionally affected by the idea that shootings like the shooting that occurred today, was ominous of the continuing development of a self-destructive environment and advanced life form (humans). Launching highly functional location-based community networks is still the number one priority, but I cannot wait to collaborate any longer. Perhaps with the right consciousness working in these high concentration areas, these leading institutions will take humanity in the right direction.</p>
<p>Perhaps High Hagin is too unintelligent and incoherent to thoughtfully and effectively express ideas. So I think at this point, I’m basically a bum. But you know what they say, you gotta hit rock bottom to really come out. ;)</p>
<p>Yeh I’m def way too crazy for Stanford. But I look forward to interacting with energies and intellectual manifestations you bring about in the present.

<p>Oh btw, you guys admitted here make up 4% of the SCEA Stanford Student Body! Congrats for that! And people who didn’t get in, just realize how ridiculously few students actually get admitted from such a strong applicant body. But luckily for us, the human social body is full of great potential!</p>
