[] Weaknesses: gpa
[] Why you think you were accepted/deferred/rejected: I knew going into this that it would be a longshot beyond a longshot. I’m not hooked and I don’t have the most fabulous qualifications (in my opinion). At the end of the day, I know that I was not a very competitive applicant for Stanford
[] Where else have you been accepted/deferred/rejected: accepted to UChicago (most likely going there), Vanderbilt, Northwestern, Wesleyan, Barnard, WashU and some others; rejected from Harvard, Dartmouth, Duke, Pomona, Columbia
[li] What would you have done differently?:[/ul] I don’t think I could have done much more on my app, though i suppose in retrospect i would have chosen another topic for my commonapp essay.
[/li]

[/list]Other Factors:
General Comments/Congratulations/Venting/Commiserations, etc: totally expected…i applied to a bunch of reach schools and only got into one (uchicago) so the past few days hasn’t been great but im okay with it. CONGRATS TO ALL WHO GOT IN, my condolenscences to my fellow rejects, and good luck to all those stuck in wait-list limbo. This process can be demoralizing & upsetting, but everyone should know that they can end up somewhere that makes them happy!
Briefly explain why you applied to Stanford (This may very roughly show who really had an interest and if there is some correlation with acceptance): i have always been very interested in stanford. i didn’t decide that i wanted to apply there until after spending a summer there for a program.
