[] Why you think you were accepted/deferred/rejected: WOOWWWW!!! I couldn’t believe I got accepted! My friends all said I would get in, but I didn’t believe them. Ummm… I guess being an URM helped. And maybe being from South Carolina.
[] Where else have you been accepted/deferred/rejected: Accepted: Princeton, Washu, Furman, University of Miami. (I only applied to five)
[li] What would you have done differently?: Oh gosh, I definitely would have actually studied for the SAT. And the SAT IIs. I didn’t stumble onto CC until after I had already submitted my applications, and getting a 2090 was considered really good at my school at that time… it’s full of underachievers. (Only two others from my school got into top 20 colleges). [/ul]
[/li]

[/list]Other Factors:
General Comments/Congratulations/Venting/Commiserations, etc: CONGRATS to everyone who was accepted! And for those who weren’t, I’m sure you’ll still have a wonderful experience wherever you end up!
Briefly explain why you applied to Stanford (This may very roughly show who really had an interest and if there is some correlation with acceptance): I was born in CA and felt a strange urge to return to my roots… lol. Also, it fit almost everything I was looking for in a college, so that was advantageous :)
