[] Essays (Include Subjects):
[li] Common App Main: 8 (Overcoming Reverse Culture Shock after moving from the U.S. to India and then back again)[/li][] EC Short Answer: 7 (Working with NGO and breaking social taboos)
[] “Profile” questions: 8 (I liked my responses. Especially for the biggest issue, for which I focused on the mindset terrorism breeds)
[] Intellectual Vitality Essay: 10 (Focused on the universality, or lack thereof, of math. Described by a different school’s admissions officer as revealing the humanity of mathematics, and thereby showing “the ease with which * connect with others and the profound potential you have as an individual with as much emotional intelligence as intellectual intelligence”)
[] Letter to Roommate Essay: 7 (It was an okay essay. Nothing particularly revealing. I struggled with it, to be honest. In the end, I focused on some of my quirks and my international perspective)
[] Why is Stanford a Good Choice for You Essay: 9 (A lot of personality in this one, along with legitimately strong reasons why I felt the entrepreneurial atmosphere at Stanford could only help launch my passion)
[] Other:[/ul]
[li] Teacher Recommendation #1: Apparently stellar (10), from my business/entrepreneurship teacher. He volunteered to write it and said he hadn’t done that for anyone before in his teaching career.[/li][] Teacher Recommendation #2: Solid (9), my Lang teacher also gave me the award for achievement in his class (best AP lang student he had that year), so it was hopefully a good rec.
[] Counselor Rec: (7) I was new to this school my junior year, so my counselor didn’t get a great chance to know me, but I can’t imagine him putting anything with a hint of negativism in there.

Reflection[ul]
[] Strengths: Scores, Passion, and Recommendations
[] Weaknesses: Diversity of Extracurriculars
[] Why you think you were accepted/deferred/rejected: I think it was a combination of my passion for and achievements in the field of entrepreneurship that might have carried some weight, along with the rest of my application. ALSO (AND I THINK THIS WAS REALLY HELPFUL) I added some more interesting things along with my update form in March, including the fact that I was voted Homecoming King and that I wrote some high-profile articles for my newspaper.
[] Where else have you been accepted/deferred/rejected: ACCEPTED @ Dartmouth, Tufts, Northwestern, Pomona, McGill, UVA; WAITLISTED @ Columbia and Yale, REJECTED @ UChicago
[li] What would you have done differently?: Submitted a different essay I did later (for Yale) as my Common App Essay. Obviously, I didn’t get into Yale (yet) so this might be completely off-base, but I thought it was my best essay by far[/ul]
[/li]
Other Factors:
General Comments/Congratulations/Venting/Commiserations, etc: I’m going to Stanford 99.9% and could not be happier  My family is super excited too, my mom cried, since this is the first time anyone in our extended family even has gotten into a school in the Top 25
Briefly explain why you applied to Stanford (This may very roughly show who really had an interest and if there is some correlation with acceptance): The same thing I wrote for why I thought Stanford would be a good fit. The entrepreneurial atmosphere and spirit of innovation on campus is tangible, and unparalleled. I crave that.
