Just got my call from BU - interviewing on the 26th!! I can’t believe it, I never in a million years thought I would make it! Anyone else on that day?

For people who have got BU SMED interviews, does your portal say something different now?
For those who got GW supplements, did you send your transcript to the medical school?
@steminspire why send transcript to Medical College? The whole app for the ba/ md program for GW was only thru common app. So there was nothing to do be done with their medical college.

Anybody got from amc interview? My D submitted supplemental for both RPI/AMC & UNION/AMC.
@lidad98 Yes, at least 2 students have received the interview notification for RPI & Union from AMC. Both interviews will be on the same date. Since already you have submitted supplement for both, you need to wait for some time. Or you can call AMC to know the status.
@NJTDad I just received my interview invitation email yesterday so they may still be sending them out. I did submit my application quite late (I believe they extended the deadline a few days) because they were having issues with their fax machines.

@GoldenRock, thanks. Do you know how long after receiving the supplemental does AMC usually responds? Her second supplement was sent around x-mas. Also I was under the impression that regardless of the number of programs you apply, AMC only sends interview for one. But from your post i am getting you can get more then one interviews at AMC? Is that correct?

@sonpat when did you submit your supplement? Were you also sent supp for RPI?
@lidad98 It is hard to predict. Here are my interpretations.
- First each of the 3 programs are so unique (Research vs Management vs Service) and hence most likely reviewed by a separate committee or even if the same committee reviewed with different focus.
- Second, AMC is very prompt in notifying interviews (with in matter of 2 days). But it depends on how many programs applied. If only Union or Union/Siena, folks got within a day or two.
- But if applied for RPI and RPI/Union, it is a different ball game. RPI takes its own time to notify if they would like to forward the candidates to AMC or not, then AMC need to decide if candidate should be notified to submit supplemental app or not and finally once supp app received, AMC need to review and decide, if student should be invited for interview just for 1 program or 2 programs. There are 2 highly qualified and strong candidates, they got the interview for both RPI/Union.
My D is in the same boat and I am hoping at least she gets the interview notification for Union/AMC but it is going to be a long long time because RPI is holding it up in her case.

If any one managed to reach George Washington and got any information related to the MD supplemental application, please share to this forum. I called them and was on hold and the call ended abrupt after 20 minutes !!!. Wish to know if they notified all whom they shortlisted to apply y’day and if no email it is implied that not selected.
The workload for schools will be less, if they clearly communicate either way (similar to UMiami, UAB, St.Bonaventure, UCCOM) in that way students/parents don’t have to call them to know the status.
