***Official Thread for 2016 BSMD applicants***

@svnya123 really!!! that means that getting an interview means you have a really good chance of getting accepted

@ultimate314 Around 50% yes

My D concluded REMS alumni interview yesterday. Is that mandatory part of their MED program …any idea how much that weighs into their decision making?

REMS portal status is STEP 4

@NJTDad not mandatory and not sure how much it weighs into decision

@NJTDad I don’t think alumni interview carry much weight. The main reason is to see that your application and your talk don’t have too much differences and you are presentable in the way you conduct yourself.

I’m a bit late to this thread, but has Rutgers Newark started conducting interviews for the 7-year program? I emailed them earlier but did not receive a response; I have probably been rejected but I am unsure.

Rutgers njms is really combo like one or two at njit and twelve at tcnj at Ewing ect

What do you mean by REMS alumni interview? Do you mean the Rochester UG interview?

Hey guys, I have applied to Medical College of GA’s 7 yr. BS/MD program, SLU’s 8 yr. program, and UConn, in oder of preference. What are my chances?

ACT : 34 superscore
GPA: 4.43 weighted 4.0 unweighted

Medical related activities: Shadowing 50 hrs, Hospital volunteer 30 hrs.
Strong recommendation from the doctor I shadowed
Other extracurriculars: Started a successful humanitarian club, member of plenty of other clubs.

I feel like I had pretty strong essays

Did anyone receive any communication from Lehigh with respect to Lehigh Drexel application? I received supplemental application for Villanova-Drexel and Drexel-Drexel, but nothing yet from Lehigh :frowning: Any interview notifications for Drexel? Please let me know.

@coffeenlucia Rutger’s already conducted its initial interview for its BS/MD applicants and we’ll find out if we get a NJMS interview by the end of this month.
@jt4321 I didn’t hear anything back from Lehigh yet and all I heard from Drexel was that my application has been forwarded to the medical school.

@jt4321 Drexel/Drexel took $150 2 weeks back almost and no updates after that. Don’t expect much either.

@Drhj001 SLU program is not a guarantee make sure you are aware of it. Whenever they put an interview after admission I don’t regard as guarantee but high probability game. They have also increased their GPA requirement and I am hearing half of the students fall out in second year !! Do any of the colleges take Superscore that you listed? Not SLU for sure.

Any more invitations or rejections from NW HPME? The results for CW PPSP or Pitt GAP will be released on Feb. 01 or Feb. 15 according to their schedule. There is probably no interviews for Brown PLME. It is hard/uncertain time for all competitive applicants for those prestigious programs. GL.

BU called me for an interview yesterday! There’s still hope for those of you who haven’t heard anything from them yet.

@J2H239 I’m assuming CW PPSP is Case Western? By results do you mean the final list or interview notifications?

@peaceforall interview notificationis

Thanks @ultimate314
All the very best!

Thank you Juhers and stdmedsch for your responses about Drexel programs.
