Got lehigh/drexel rejection email…one rejection after another…don’t know wat more I could have done
Case western ppsp also sent an email saying they R releasing tomorrow…starting around noon
Same here. Rejected from Lehigh /Drexel. Case western email that results will be out tomorrow starting noon.
We were asked to pay 150 fee and applied to Drexel /Drexel and Lehigh /Drexel. Received Lehigh /Drexel rejection today. Does that mean we are out of the race from Drexel /Drexel as well as we don’t know 150 was for Lehigh or Drexel ? Drexel has admitted preciously with scholarship.
@NJTDad So far Drexel Med does not seem to have made any interview invites for the Drexel/Drexel program, so you are still in the race for Drexel/Drexel.
“CWR PPSP and Early Decision 2 applicants will receive an email providing a link to the secure webpage with their admission status on Saturday, Jan. 30. We will begin sending these email notifications around 12 p.m. EST”
can anyone explain to me the difference between the focus of an undergrad interview and a medical school interview. Because I have one at Drexel (for Rosemont) and then an interview with a representative at Rosemont as well, so should I expect to be answering similar questions?
Drexel in their interview (through Villanova) invitation said they charge only 1 fee for all programs you are invited for and have only 1 interview for all programs.
So all of us who haven’t got a response from Drexel/Drexel implies it is still ON. So lets keep our fingers crossed and think positive
When called today, the admission office from Drexel/Drexel Medical program mentioned that interview notification will go within 2 weeks. So So we have to wait to hear from them…
Is villanova/drexel still sending out inteviews?
Hi All I have basic important question - when you know for sure that you would never qualify for need based financial aid (fafsa) , should one still apply ? I have heard and read conflicting recommendation hence wanted to check with you all. Appreciate your point of view as most deadlines are feb 1.
so basically all the Drexel programs but Drexel/Drexel sent out the interview already?
@tunetheday From the earlier posts, it looks like Drexel Med has not yet sent out any interview invites for their 8-year programs (e.g. Muhlenberg/Drexel). Yesterday, there was an invite for Villanova/Drexel. So, we can’t say for sure that they are done with the invites for their 7-year programs.
So, Case Western said that they were sending “admissions notifications.” Is that admission to the undergraduate school? Or is it interview notifications? Or is it admission to PPSP (probably not, since we still need to do interviews, right)?
Both if you consider ED2. I.e. Interview for PPSP program (finalists) and admission status to UG for ED2 applicants.

Are all the HPME interview requests out?
Irrespective of the parents’ income and assets and even if you don’t qualify for financial aid, it’s in your best interest to file FAFSA. Most schools don’t need FAFSA for merit aid but the recommended fafsa deadline is tomorrow (real deadline is June 30) and some merit aid is given in March - better safe than sorry. Also, FAFSA gives you the benefit of applying for low interest federal loans. Even if the parents are paying, it makes sense for future physicians to take loans since a lot of hospitals/clinics will pay of the loans as sign on bonus. While that is a decade away, taking a loan at 2% and investing the money elsewhere makes more financial sense anyway. That’s my 2 cents.
Thanks @allformd making sense.
I have seen these interviews in the past as a staggered stage where the college wants to see if they should recommend you for the particular program and send you to the next level. If they are allowing you to attend both undergrad and med school interviews at the same time, it might serve a different purpose - gauging your interest in their school.
This is what I would do if I was an administrator without any real knowledge of the process.
You can get admitted to multiple programs for Drexel. However, Drexel probably returns a ranked list to school of all the students the school submitted as their candidates for interviews (you have to remember the school has limited number of slots).
Let us say 20 people were interviewed for Rosemont at Drexel, Rosemont has only 6 seats, how does Rosemont decide who is their admittee at Drexel, knowing that you might have also interviewed for 4 other programs with Drexel. You may have admission at 3 other programs and might not choose Rosemont in the end? So I would pick some people in the list based on their definite expectation to attend Rosemont or the fact that they don’t have any other programs in their bucket.
CWRU Updates are on the portal. No luck! One more is gone
70 selected for interview out of 1700 applicants as per the letter
Good Luck to others
