Official thread october sat 2013 test

will I be in the 700s still with 5 missed on CR?

I think I got 800 math and 800 writing
but I just suck at reading comprehension.

To all who put 25/9, you are wrong.

Problem: There are two circles with center at O. One has radius 3. The circle is drawn so that OA is 3 and OC is larger. The distance from AC is 5. This means that the radius of the larger circle is 8 and the smaller is 3. Ratio of AREAS is 64pi/9pi.

-7, 7 average product sum question anybody? I got 0.

And did anybody get a Writing paragraph improvement passage about carrots?

the one with 2^x * 4^x or something like that turned out to be something like 2^5x right? and did anyone get 5 for the f(3)-f(2) f(x)=x^2+4 question??

@ArmedbyKnowledge I think I accidentally put -12 instead of 12 in also! (even though I knew how to do it)
I’m so mad at myself

for the pine tree question,
I forget the exact wording, all I know is that the correct answer is the one that has the pine tree as the subject
(the actual pine tree, not its needles)

@Saratoga!

That is hilarious and awesome!

What were everyone’s examples for the SAT essay?? What prompt did you get? I got the one about being content.

@cloverleaf96
it was 2^5x
it was 5

the question with the smallest value of two numbers divided did it say the numbers must be integers?

@jug Yeah. It was the pine tree as the subject one. I think that was the original?

Ryan zero is correct

Yeah guys, grammar really is formulaic. Anyway, what was the experimental writing section? We’ve all gotten word about the exp. CR and M sects but no one has said anything about the exp. writing one

for the passage question why can’t it be hypothetical reasoning? that makes the most sense.

@jeffisaboss yes it did, which is why only 1 worked

That math section seemed pretty easy, what would -1 be?

I have no idea if I put 12 or -12 but it doesn’t matter because I had time to check over all the math problems three times and whatever I put in made sense.
That said, I think I put 12.

@Harrovain

yeah you’re right. It was the original.
For the river flowing serenely one, was that no error?
I said no error.

@saratoga37 ok i guessed 7m anyways
im pretty sure that was our experimental section though

At a minimum -1 is 770
