*Official UC Berkeley 2011 Transfer: Acceptance/Rejection Thread*

^It depends on which school you are asking about. I applied to different majors to every school I applied to except UCI and UCSB.

eyethink-for UCLA and Berkeley.

4 more days! Hang in there guys!

@eyethink. ■■■■■. i mean “realistically not everyones gonna past the class”, as my eng;ish prof says.

@Pinoiako916: Communication Studies and Media Studies respectively. If I go to either I’m going to double major and pair those with Political Science, Sociology, or Philosophy. According to some rankings, Cal has the second best Political Science department, so that would probably be my second major.

eyethink-for the pre-health sciences like pre-med, pre-neuropsychology, isnt ucla better at those fields?

^I can’t say. I have yet to visit either department. I have no idea about neuro-psychology at either school so I do not understand why you are comparing it with Communication/Media Studies.

I was just asking you a question, not trying to compare it with communication studies.

@killmyentourage Thanks for the info. I applied to L&S, so it looks like I’m not over the unit limit.

Four more days of waiting…

@Pinoiako916: When you made your statement, you used the word “like” which made me think that you wanted me to compare the quality of schools vis-a-vis the majors your listed.

Besides … I’m not sure why you would think that UCLA is leaps and bounds better than Cal for pre-health, pre-med, and pre-neuropsychology. You’ve got to investigate the pedagogy of each institution in order to arrive at an accurate conclusion. Based on your posts, I feel like you are shortchanging Cal. You’ve gotta verify your hypothesis bud.

With UCLA decisions out, the countdown really begins…

^ ready for round 2

Since I got into my top choice of UCLA as a psychology major with a 3.84 gpa, I am curious about my chances for Berkeley.

I applied to Berkeley just for curiosity.

@pinoiako: isn’t LA your #1? would you reconsider if you got into UCB?

guys i didnt get as a psychology major, but i got in as my alternate: philosophy

should i feel happy or sad idk

this is the UC Berkeley thread

personally, I’d feel pretty neutral about getting in as my alternate; disappointed i didn’t get in as my primary major, but glad I at least got in.

@KidKrasher

I would be very happy!

Naniwa-I went to cal day and the focus of psychology I want to get into is research neuropsychology. I attended the psychology presentations and they said that for neuropsychology research, I would have to go to UCSF.

So if I do get accepted to Berkeley and decide to go there, I may have to commute to UCSF to do neuropsychology research. It is about a hour commute via Bart and Muni Metro from Berkeley to UCSF.

If I decide to go to UCLA, then their neuropsychology research facilities is just a twenty minute walk from the dorms or even less If I decide to get an apartment close to their on-campus medical center.

I will research the pros and cons.

oh crap i made a mistake sorry

GUYYYYYYSSSSSSSSSS IT BERKELEY TIME
WOO WOO WOO WOO WOO

after getting to ucla, i feel i have a good chance at berzerkely…anyone feel the same?
