Was anyone else set on going to UCLA regardless of Berkeley’s decision, but are now torn between the two and can’t decide?

Also, my friend without a CC account got accepted into Berkeley econ with a 3.87, and he was waitlisted from UCLA.

Didn’t get in sigh
I’m taking this much better than I thought I would but I realize how borderline my application was in the first place.

Congrats to everyone who got accepted and good luck!!!

Congrats to everyone who was accepted!

I need to compare financial aid packages and regain consciousness.

Applied: UCSB UCSD UCLA UCB
Accepted: UCSB UCSD UCLA UCB

Congrats to you all for getting into the toughest public uc on the west coast!!!

@InfiniteSome can you post your stats?

got in eecs. unbelievable

@22jumpstreet It technically includes in the university grant. After you SIR to UCB, the financial aid office would verify your cal grant eligibility and add to your package. however, university grant will deduct the difference. So basically amount stays the same.

Are you from community college?

At first it looked like my berkeley net cost was lower than my UCLA net cost but they’re estimating 3500 per semester in rent for living off campus. Uh… not likely

Major: English
GPA: 3.58
TAP: No

IGETC: Finished
EC’s: Nothing really interesting (work, one club, etc)
Personal Statement: 8/10 (I think)
Applied: UCB, UCLA, UCSB, UCD

I cannot believe I actually got in. It’s been a few hours and I’m still in shock. Congrats to those that got in!

Quick question for anyone than can answer/has an opinion!
I just looked over my “Conditions for Acceptance” and it states that I have to complete all of the courses I reported when applying…unfortunately, I dropped macroeconomics this semester due to time constraints. This will reflect as a “W” on my transcript. Even with this course dropped, I will still finish 60 units and the IGETC. Do you think that there is a possibility of my acceptance being rescinded because of this dropped class? I reported this to my admissions officer already and I am waiting for a response.

Decision: In!
Major: Math/Applied Math
