Hmmm, see I find UCLA’s just looking like a company’s annual report. I like the refined fold-out approach so much more.
But UCLA will later send you really nice clings for your car.
Not sure if berkeley will send any swag because we never got beyond you’re admitted.
@lindyk8 That seems so cool for the clings haha. Is it for everyone admitted, or just people who sent in their SIR
My daughter got two as I recall and it was later, after the SIR, so I assume it went only to the committed.
It goes to all admitted students. I haven’t SIR’d and I got mines today, It’s really nice!
@bmirza991, we were talking about the UCLA car cling to put on a windshield.
@lindyk8 do you know around when it came in the mail?
@apocalypso, Do you mean the UCLA cling? My daughter says early-mid May, but she SIR’d pretty much right away, so we’re not sure if everyone who was admitted got it.
@lindyk8 yeah, that. Thank you!
I know I’m late, but CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who got accepted to UC Berkeley! (: I will be applying to transfer this upcoming fall semester. This thread has been incredibly helpful! Thank you to all the contributors! I really appreciate it!
Did anyone get accepted to UC Berkeley and apply as an Operations Research and Management Science major? I am very interested in this major, but there’s VERY limited information on it found online. I have done a bunch of research on the UC Berkeley website and College Confidential, but I just wanted to get some stats of accepted students. Please and thank you! (:
Did anyone hear back about the Bridge Transfer weekened?
I still have not heard back from them…
@IAM2MUCH4U Wait, you can get more than one associate’s degree from one school? I go to two community colleges right now, but would it be possible to get a degree and/or certificate for both?
@IAM2MUCH4U Is there a limit on how many AA/AS degrees you can get? Makes IGETC only need to be done once? Thanks! (:
You can also get two from the same CCC I believe (I may be wrong). You get them in different subjects. I’m not sure about the same school part. Ask your CCC.
Doesn’t have to be closely related to your major either. I’d totally forgotten I was eligible for one and then I got my degree in natural sciences in the mail one day… I’m a math student. IGETC must get you very close to multiple associates.
Right @universalsnip, the only reason I know about the double was last year someone posted here who was accepted to a UC and then realized if he took one extra class, he’d be able to get a second AA.
At my college if you don’t mind a fairly busy course load you can triple in Arts and Humanities + Social and Behavioral Sciences + Math and Science = 3 AAs. About one third of the honors program students here do this.
@lindyk8 Thank you! I did ask my one of my school counselors and she said you can get unlimited AA/AS degrees as long as you complete the major requirements for each one. She said you can even get ones that have a lot of overlapping courses like Pure Math and Applied Math.
@UniversalSnip Wow! Congrats! I’m a prospective math student as well! Haha. I’m going to do some research and see what other AA/AS degrees I will qualify for. Do certificates work the same way? Please and thanks! (:
@MaMoi77 That’s crazy! I wish I was that motivated! Haha. I like humanities, but not that good at art so I don’t think I would be able to finish all the required courses without stressing out like crazy. I am looking into getting a math and science AS/AA though. I wish my CCCs had honors programs. You’re so lucky!
