If we have fulfilled the foreign language requirement for IGETC have we then also completed the foreign language requirement for graduation at CAL? I’m just curious if I need to take more Spanish classes or not!
you’re fine @withtwowingss unless there are specific language requirements for your major and department.
.
Went to Calso yesterday, tell me again why it was $200!!!?
@bmirza991 do you mind sharing your experience?
Just a heads up, my daughter called Berkeley just now to verify about high school transcripts being received and they said a bunch were just posted online (my daughter’s were) and that they are super behind because the person who was supposed to be doing something was sick for a while. So to please bear with them.
My daughter hand-delivered her CCC transcripts, and it took two weeks to get a verification email that said they officially received them, and the email said it would be two more weeks to get it posted. So it just got posted.
Has anyone gotten a housing offer yet?
any spring transfers out there also get an email about CALSO being postponed?
Yes, I got an email stating that Spring CALSO it has been postponed till January.
Anybody still waiting having problem with transcripts? I submitted my in almost 4 weeks ago and still waiting for them to be posted online. I was told they have a backlog and not to worry about it…but that was like almost two weeks ago. Pretty frustrating that they set a deadline, but can’t process them on time.
I submitted my transcript about 3 weeks ago, and they still haven’t been posted online. I emailed my advisor one week ago, and received her automatic response email which says “transcripts that are received can take 5-6 weeks before they are shown on your myBerkeleyApplication.” Seeing the July 1st deadline all over myBerkeleyApplication gives me anxiety about not having my transcripts reported, but I guess there’s not much I can do.
Also, has anyone received housing offers yet?
I’m still waiting for my transcripts to show up too and I submitted them in late May. But I was able to register for classes so I hope that’s a good sign
Sent my transcripts late May also, confirmed they received it physically around June 8th. “Received” status updated online this past Week, I think June 29th.
From what a few people were saying on the Facebook transfer page, Housing offers will be sent by email after this weekend, so between Jul 6th - Jul 10th?
Hey all, just thought I would throw my two cents in regarding transcripts being posted/received or not… So there is literally 10’s of thousands of people sending in transcripts right now. I would imagine a little patience is in order. Let the wheels turn. As a piece of advice, (if you can) go drop off your transcripts at the “Student One” center in Sproul Hall. I have turned in all my transcripts there and within about 10 days, each of them have been posted as received. None of them have been “finalized” and I don’t know anyone else that has had them show as “finalized” either…
If you are sending them in the mail, go to the post office and send them certified so you have receipt that you sent them. Just make sure you don’t mistakenly choose an option in the mailing preferences like a signature requirement, for they will NOT sign for your parcel at Admissions or anywhere else at UC Berkeley campus.
Hey everyone, I was just curious if there is anyone else who hasn’t received a housing offer yet.
@rescinded! You just got reinstated, haha! give it a day. :))
Second batch should be coming at the end of the week. Unfortunately, expect almost all RH triples as it’s usually the scraps and unwanted from the first batch.
Ah, geez. ^^^^
did anyone get a single?
@NDN On the Berkeley transfer FB page, there are a few people (around 10 that I saw) who received a single as their assignment.
A lot of singles are for ppl with disabilities, so you don’t know exactly how it is breaking down. A disability has a lot of definitions.
